Volkswagen, the German car manufacturing company, is looking forward to launch its new SUV model called “Volkswagen T-Roc” in the Indian market. Volkswagen’s only SUV in India, the Tiguan, belongs to the premium segment. With T-roc, the company is willing to take some benefit from the ever-growing mid-range SUV market in India.
With a competitive Volkswagen T-Roc price in India, it will be competing with other SUV’s like Renault Captur, Jeep Compass etc. in the market. Volkswagen has adopted the looks and features of the Tiguan, which makes the car look more premium than its price.
Specifications of the New Volkswagen T-Roc
Volkswagen T-Roc has many exciting features that put it at a relatively exalted position in the SUV market in India. Following are some of its exciting features:
<b>Latest MQB Platform</b>
Volkswagen has adopted its most famous platform, i.e. the MQB platform to manufacture the new T-Roc SUV. This platform is designed with the McPherson strut front, with the addition of either a multi-link rear suspension or torsion beam, depending upon the driver and engine system, with a damper system of additional adaptive features. All these features can provide a smooth and jerk free drive to the passengers.
<b>Engine Features</b>
The new Volkswagen T-Roc will be available in both petrol and diesel engine versions, having a 5-gear turbocharged engine, with either a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine, or 2.0 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine, or 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine; having a maximum power of 115bhp.
<b>Technological Features</b>
Volkswagen has designed the new T-Roc considering the younger generation in mind, who love Smartphone connectivity and other technological features in their SUV. T-Roc comes with the integration features of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications, so that the younger generation buyers can connect their Smartphones and enjoy the exciting connectivity features of T-Roc. T-Roc is also bestowed with MirroLink, which is an inductive Smartphone charge plate, and an 8-channel Bose sound system to give passengers one of its kind listening experience.
<b>Expected Price</b>
Volkswagen has not yet announced the price of the new T-Roc, however, it is expected that this new SUV will be available for somewhere around INR 12-15 Lakh.
