ok here's the sitch: i just got this new machine up and running (ubuntu 10.10) and for some odd reason the hdmi cable will not make the monitor work only vga works, and i have the ati radeon hd 4250 graphics card which comes with this catalyst control center software and it's telling me that analog and dtv monitors are the same monitor (there is only one) it looks like this software thinks there are two, and for some reason only 2 displays . . . but dig this i have the hdmi and vga cables plugged in at the same time so maybe that is confusing the card? either way if i take out the vga cable so that only hdmi cable is connected no display. and then just now i took out the hdmi cable so that only the vga cable is connected no display. wtf can anyone help me out?
