There are dozens of cups in a beer snake that still contain residue liquid. And when this is hoisted into the air, this liquid then spills over innocent fans and impacts their enjoyment.

RESIDUE LIQUID!!

Why is full strength alcohol available in Members and corporate areas?
Full strength beer is available in these areas as the instances of violent anti-social behaviour is relatively low.

Instead of raising prices to an absurd level and banning proper beer, can't they just ban bogans? No?

A bloke in our bay foolishly burst the first beach ball of the afternoon when it landed in his lap. Bad move. With that decision he effectively painted a target onto the back of his head for all subsequent inflatable props moving through the stands for the rest of the day.

Because he kept getting pinged it must have looked to some of the security detail that he was causing trouble. He was led out.

'mr cricket' has been dropped thrice by the same bloke, did i hear that correctly??

That's correct! One of 'em was a sitter too. Thank heavens that we've still got the Test on our screens in the office so we can watch the majesty that is Mr. Cricket at the crease...

Then again, we were treated to the sight of Tubby in a pink suit/tie/trousers at lunch...

on the nanny state-ism tip, i'm sure none of it made the coverage on saturday night but much of the crowd was entertained by a blow-up doll being bounced around the length of the southern stand and then back again - amazing effort to avoid security for that long

not especially 'family friendly T20' mind you when every sixth comic genius grabbed it and made rooting motions

guess i can look forward to sharing the SCG tomorrow morning with the 10 other ppl who have turned up to see Pakistan finish this off before lunch. $50 well spent :-/

but this would be too much. too painful. they can stick around in twenty20 and KFC BIG BASH. their most talented player is, I notice, pulling up trees for the Redbacks with his dynamic all-round beard

If you had a choice between sweating it out in Dubai for the Globetrotters or playing for the glory of Sudaustralien on the lovely Adelaide Oval, then it would be obvious. But they all can't be Shahid Afridi and besides, teams like New Zealand and Sri Lanka have to play against *someone*

this is terrible. exciting but terrible. i didn't think pakistan was capable of this.

In other news, our friends at KFC help manage to get some good publicity for Cricket in the United States.
