I'm using textedit and I can't tell how much writing I've done...

If someone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Uhm Word has a word count built in.

Word Count

1. Click the Tools menu and select "Word Count..." from the menu that appears.

2. A window will appear with many statistics on your document.

Tip: Do you want to include footnotes and endnotes in the summary? Check the "Include footnotes and endnotes" check box.

3. Once you have finished viewing the statistics, click the "Close" button.
