Drupe poll! What's a drupe? You eat it!

Oh my GOD what a fantastic idea for a poll. But it's like choosing between father, son and holy ghost!

The reason I bought my first pluot was it had a sticker featuring a brontosaurus in front of the planet Saturn.

This is worse than "who would u fuk!" I can't vote. It would be wrong.

Pistachio's the one that's really throwing me, because I could eat a whole bag of 'em in one sitting. Makin' like Leslie Nielsen trying to get out of the car, ya know? But a pistachio isn't a nectarine, no sir.

I'd have to check with a botanist, but I think a brontosaurus in front of the planet Saturn is probably technically considered a drupe as well. On account of drupes are awesome, and so is that.

I bought a giant bag of cherries because houseguests were coming—it cost 32 dollars—the cashier asked me if I was sure, and in a fit of grandiosity I said NO PROBLEM. Then I forgot about them and they TURNED INTO COMPOST.

How big does a bag of cherries have to be to cost $32 dollars? Were you going to fill a tub with them?

omg beth that is so sad! cherries are the only fruit that ever surprise me with their price once at the checkout. which is why i only buy them when they are btwn 1.99 and 2.99/lb. anything more than that is how you get a $32 bag of cherries

Peaches totally shut out?!??

It's the summer of the nectarine. I just made dessert with peaches tonight though.

i have been eating 3 peaches a day for the past 3 days
i bought a basket of them
they are from ontario and they are v v good
i have also eaten some other things but mostly peaches

This is drupe season, for sure. To not eat drupes is to be a big poop.

To the person who invented white peaches - WTF? Did you consciously set out to develop a peach-like object with absolutely no peach flavor? Yes, a good peach is sweet, but it is also PEACHY ffs.

These red plums feel like they're radiating some kind of inner light. Oh lord, why do they come but once a year?
