Bill Hader as James Carville has become my new favorite thing of all time.

Also, I've grown to appreciate Gilly.

I have a lot more patience for SNL during its crap years than a lot of people, but god, this season has been horrific. I guess amy poehler had been holding this on her shoulders for a long time.

wiig has some comedic sense to her and I could like her in the right situation...but all of her characters make me want to turn off the tv.

her *i am making faces and acting socially unaware* schtick works really well in 'adventureland' imo, and pretty infrequently on snl

That Food Network sketch was some serious belly laughs for me.

the pool sketch was also belly laughs to me, but that's just because I giggle at the word "Tampax"

the pool sketch was maybe one of the best three things about that episode. honestly, i'm always praying for an SNL where EVERY skit knocks it outta the park instead of just a couple. though, you know, vinny vedecci (or whatever) can do no wrong by me. (best vinny v: the seth "bearman" rogan one)

My main problem with the impression, maybe I've said it here before, is that he's clearly taken pains to get the cadence of Obama's speech down without even bothering to modulate the timbre of his voice.

yeah absolutely -- he has a tiny kernel of accuracy in there but he's still playing it w/ essentially the same voice as like 10 other characters he does

His Obama is way better than 90% of Hammond's impressions.

how many good obama impressions are there out there?? it doesn't help that SNL's only actual black dude is a fat guy who is terrible at impressions / acting

monologue where he had to explain who he was to people made me squirm.

i felt bad for him cuz he was really horrible. that show was mostly really really bad.
