When I was in high school, the theater group I did performed a play in which an intrepid explorer is stranded on an island that worships the Temptations. We learned an elaborate bit of choreography for Ain't To Proud To Beg, which looks enough like real dancing that sometimes I break it out at parties (oh, box step, what can't you do?). The guy who wrote that play grew up to write for Lost and Charmed.

'Edge of Seventeen'. I'd never heard it before, but there was a Fleetwood Mac evening on BBC4 last night and this was on. I did not know it was the root of 'Bootylicious' either. I was loving it.
