I was randomly channel surfing and had stopped on the Cosby Show and thought to myself "hey, this guy looks like Carver". I watched the whole thing to make sure it was him. Saw him on L&O:CI as a detective, and on Oz where he played a CO (along with a scene with him in full naked glory). I'm sure his wife must be a very happy woman, etc.

weirded me out that in the Rawls drag scene, Lester makes his first appearance AND another character uses a Judge Phelan-esque turn of phrase about "throwing a hump into her"

Andre Royo (Bubbles) is supposed to be on the season premiere of Fringe.

Also, he was hilarious on Party Down, and not typecast, which was sweet.

Idris Elba was in Takers, using his natural accent. which was kind of stupid because he was the one barking the orders during a bank robbery, and the fact that he had an accent made him easy to identify. one of many bad plot points.

Rawls was sorely underused in Blue Valentine. I was hoping for a scene that featured him predominantly, knowing how good he can be.

it was a running joke in the movie. the character is a straight laced insurance salesman who mentions loving "hbo's television program the wire" and then there is some funny payoff. haven't seen the trailer, but it works in the movie, even if it is a little weird and he never says "sheeeeeeeit"

also dont think ive mentioned this yet but bubbles' wife owns a restaurant under my apt. i met her the other day and she is a very pleasant lady. the end.
