i know for a fact that i owned at least two manual ones as recently as last christmas. they were handy because they both had bottle opener notches on them. they may not have made the move from my last apartment.

sarah, peppermints being a band? if so no. i saw you aren't on the bill with lynard's innards at the note. good band, shitty shitty venue. i was there friday and i'd forgotten how much i hate that place. craptacular in every regard.

Ha ha. We ended up turning that show down, but I just agreed to a show on 11/9 there with the peppermints. Hopefully, that wasn't the WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

i've been in and around bars for over a quarter century and the bartender at the note friday (the dude, the first one on duty) was the WORST BARTENDER I HAVE EVER SEEN. just horrible. inattentive, surly, slow.... just pissed me off.

DAN is your oven gas or electric? Sometimes electric ovens don't have a broiler drawer - you just turn the oven knob all the way to broil and then move the rack right up under the top heating element. Or, probably move the rack up and then turn the knob up to broil.

maybe that dude won't be working. the female bartender who came in to provide support was awesome, taking multiple orders at once, getting the right drinks to the right people and always serving. she was great. the note does have $2 pbr tall boys so you can get a cheap buzz on.

In other news, I am enjoying the new Justin Timberlake album, but I have some questions:
* Isn't the Summer Lovin' song melody a direct ripoff of Shai's "If I ever Fall in Love Again," just not as good?
* Does he really have a crack smoking problem?
* Is it any coincidence that TIMBERLAKE is working with TIMBERLAND?

Riddle me that stuff, batpeople.

Also, Amanda, aren't you getting there earlier? I forgot about my chiro appt, which ends a little before 5, but I'll head over right after that.

Hi Chicago.

I'm being a good little Jesse.

Saturday I went on a 3 mile run/walk (50/50), Sunday I did some weights, today the crippling soreness finally subsided enough that I could run again. I only did about 1.5 miles, 50/50.

(I think I told you that on Sunday I meant to go 1.5 miles but I missed my turn and wound up going 3 miles. Then it got dark and I was lost on a very very dark golf course in Audubon Park, wondering if alligators are diurnal.)

PS, the weather is pleasant. It's around 78 and not humid. Wait...78 at 9:30 AM kind of sucks....

My life lately:

-Mice, roaches, spiders: things my roommates and I would like to kill, but which their boss (who spends a lot of time at the house, since she is the proxy land lady) will not allow us to kill. She is a young LGBT activist seminarian.

-Met with a Unitarian minister today. Unitarians are open-minded and liberal, but to the point of being a little flakey. This guy insouciantly dropped the GD bomb during our conversation, which is unlike most ministers I've known.

hi.
below are tour dates. i am have a chronic illness that i think is based in an allergic reaction. i can hardly move and all i want to do is sleep. my ears hurt and my lip is split open. sometimes i cannot hold my urine and i pee on myself. right now i am tyring to continue to live and repot all my cactus but it makes my apartment smell like dirt. also everything smells like pee. it is like a farm where i live.
