this album feels loooong but it works cos there is room for all the guest tracks and some awesome weirdo gucci too. 'i think i'm in love' is zaytoven right? it's awesome!! I don't mind 'sex in crazy places' (it's way better than 'spotlight' which is the only track that really stands out as a turd to me so far). I'm not really feeling 'classical' as much as other people seem to be, the beat is corny to me but Gucci does kill it. 'heavy' is just ridiculously good and is exactly the kind of track that I feared would be missing from this album. it's a shame that devin didn't do a hook for 'kush is my cologne', great track tho. that's all for now...

the album is great btw -- although kind of underwhelming in that im not sure it really does anything *more* than his mixtapes do, the big cameos & crossover tracks werent anything special really -- bun b sounds borrrring, & obv "spotlight" is the worst track on the record. R&B tracks are prob gonna be unfairly hated on -- the jason caesar joint is a jam, but its not that radical of a deviation from 'throw money' or 'beat it up' or whatever else ... but um yeah this is 'great' in the sense that there are basically only 2 tracks that i skip (plus wasted cuz jeez how many times can i hear it)

i agree about the classical beat -- i feel sorta dorky rocking it -- but as an intro i think it 'works' & should convert ppl who dont think hes 'technically skilled' or whatever tf

zaytoven's weird melodic, like, fear of making a non-creepy beat is what makes 'i feel like im in love' work, i think -- like its got this kinda ominous unbalanced undercurrent going on because he's not hitting some note

'all about the money' is dope and sounds like something left off the burrprint. i think that ross & gucci work well together on this too

i think i probably dig 'burrrprint' slightly more than this, if only bcuz it was the first record where i felt like lyrical concerns & song construction concerns really balanced, where he had pretty much eliminated a huge % of filler lines, without losing the off the cuff improv'd feel. this has a lot of that, but w/ some extra major label baggage, basically

i think i agree with that, though i think the highs are a bit more pronouced on this album; "lemonade" and "classical" are probably just as good or better than anything on burrprint

'spotlight' is the kind of track that would probably go down really well after 20 pints of stella in a club in benidorm. id probably mix it into 'wats luv'

this is kind of a reductive way of thinking about this album but it seems to me like they dodged a lot of bullets, or the stars aligned just right or whatever...we were all terrified of storch being on this and he turns out possibly the best song on the album, almost all the girl songs are really good, there's not really a clunker guest spot, SOULJA BOY destroys his verse...

the rick ross song is great; the beat is so sparkly and beautiful, and has all those cool different parts, it's so well-constructed. rick ross's verse is a bit goofy and awkward, but somehow it fits.
