hey harbl

past
present

and please don't give me this 'I bet the future is gonna be just great' bologna, I don't want it.

(xp)

black raspberry sounds good!! coffee ice cream is totes lame, through.

i have issues about soft serve ice cream because a) its not really great and b) was partially invented by margaret thatcher and c) it's rather bad unless its vanilla flavour with sprinkles or a sprinkle type topping

no mate bruce springsteen is the american jimmy barnes (King Boy Pato), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:12 (fourteen years ago) link

how does black raspberry differ from blackberry?

tehresa, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:16 (fourteen years ago) link

blackberry tastes like dreadful self-important middle management types

RAINBOW SPRINKLES ON ALL ICE CRAMS.

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:19 (fourteen years ago) link

black raspberry sounds pretentious

tehresa, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:19 (fourteen years ago) link

margaret thatcher did not invent soft serve. anyway it's ok because it's good*. i bet the nazis invented a lot of cool stuff too.

*depends on what kind you get though

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:20 (fourteen years ago) link

ENBB don't you mean rainbow jimmies

that sex version of "blue thunder." (Mr. Que), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:21 (fourteen years ago) link

no black raspberry is a pretty common grocery store ice cream! my dad always got it so it became my favorite.

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:21 (fourteen years ago) link

z s i can't answer your query atm

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:22 (fourteen years ago) link

also why do i have so many threads, i didn't even ask for them

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:22 (fourteen years ago) link

x-post I grew up in NY, Que - I don't fuck with that "jimmies" nonsense. That said, am pretty sure only the brown ones are referred to as jimmies in NE. The rainbow ones are still called sprinkles.

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:23 (fourteen years ago) link

hmmm.... anyway when we moved to MA i was so freaked out when people called them jimmies.

that sex version of "blue thunder." (Mr. Que), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:24 (fourteen years ago) link

they may have been just the brown ones, i was like too freaked out to ask

that sex version of "blue thunder." (Mr. Que), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:24 (fourteen years ago) link

i think they say jimmies in delaware or nj because we always said sprinkles and were visiting one of these places and we lolled SO hard at "jimmies"

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:24 (fourteen years ago) link

oh maybe it was CT? not sure

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:25 (fourteen years ago) link

Yeah, "jimmies" just isn't right.

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:25 (fourteen years ago) link

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:26 (fourteen years ago) link

it sounds like what a pedophile would call sprinkles

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:26 (fourteen years ago) link

btw I love rainbow sprinkles so much I have been known to eat them with a spoon sans ice cream.

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:27 (fourteen years ago) link

I realize that's probably pretty gross to most ppl though.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, sprinkles – hagelslag – are commonly used as a sandwich topping.

blarinet (electricsound), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:28 (fourteen years ago) link

haah some of them make a greasy film on the top of your mouth that hardens from the ice cream. would not eat a sprinkle sandwich.

harbl, Friday, 18 December 2009 03:28 (fourteen years ago) link

"Hey Tuomas, wanna come over for some hagelslag?"

"Can I eat the hagelslag naked?"

"Sure, Tuomas, this is Europe! Anything goes here!"

that sex version of "blue thunder." (Mr. Que), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:29 (fourteen years ago) link

brb moving to the Netherlands. That probably has Nutella on it too. EUROPE IS AWESOME.

Actually I had amazing chocolate dipped waffles covered in sprinkles in Amsterdam. omg. so good.

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:29 (fourteen years ago) link

sometimes i chew up a hagelslag and spread the resultant paste between two intact hagelslags

I am well acquainted with the greasy film that can be left by certain sprinkles. It's the dark side of eating too many of them and is worse without ice cream tbh.

★彡☆ ★彡 (ENBB), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:34 (fourteen years ago) link

OK ERICA HERE IT IS

1) Get a slice of white bread
2) Spread butter (moderately) on white bread
3) Cover bread and butter with hundreds and thousands (what we call "rainbow sprinkles)
4) Eat!

no mate bruce springsteen is the american jimmy barnes (King Boy Pato), Friday, 18 December 2009 03:36 (fourteen years ago) link

oh and you need to slice the bread diagonally as per tradition before you eat

my dutch friend ike gave me a gift of hagelslag once because of how supremely disgusted i was everytime i saw her eating it. dutch ppl are nutso awesome

hey harbl

do u like soda??

Radio Birdman Rally (King Boy Pato), Monday, 11 January 2010 04:10 (fourteen years ago) link

not really. i like seltzer water though. can't remember the last time i had an actual soda. it's bad 4 u.

jortin shartgent (harbl), Monday, 11 January 2010 13:27 (fourteen years ago) link

that's true, gaseous water is wayyyyy more popular in europe!
in fact, also a standard question in peru.

tehresa, Tuesday, 12 January 2010 05:22 (fourteen years ago) link

also in oz. but plain old gas/fizzy/carbonated water is not the same stuff as soda water/seltzer is it?

jabba hands, Tuesday, 12 January 2010 05:24 (fourteen years ago) link

essentially. i mean i'm sure there are slight diffs (some ppl are really aggro about club soda vs. seltzer) but if you wanna drink fizzy water it's basically all the same. maybe seltzer has finer bubbles?

tehresa, Tuesday, 12 January 2010 05:26 (fourteen years ago) link

mookieproof, Tuesday, 12 January 2010 06:23 (fourteen years ago) link

hey
club soda has a small amt of something like salt or baking soda (the kind i have gotten says potassium bicarbonate)
i prefer plain seltzer though

harbl, I have an idea: WATER BIATHLON

It is an exciting sport where you will have to swim with a gun to your target and then shoot at it. Then swim with a gun to the next target and so on until you finish.

It will be EXCITING.

Hangin' with Tommy Cooper (King Boy Pato), Sunday, 14 February 2010 03:31 (fourteen years ago) link

ok but i think it has to be a waterproof gun, or maybe part of the game is you have to hold the gun above your head while you swim

harbl, Sunday, 14 February 2010 03:35 (fourteen years ago) link

what if it was a WATER GUN

DJ NAIR (tehresa), Sunday, 14 February 2010 03:35 (fourteen years ago) link

a WATER GUN would make it even better, imagine all the strategy involved with that

Hangin' with Tommy Cooper (King Boy Pato), Sunday, 14 February 2010 03:37 (fourteen years ago) link

the targets better be close

Hangin' with Tommy Cooper (King Boy Pato), Sunday, 14 February 2010 03:55 (fourteen years ago) link

we don't have cricket in america, besides i don't really like team sports. i'm more of a loner.

harbl, Sunday, 14 February 2010 03:57 (fourteen years ago) link

That's a negative attitude, I won't stand for it.

Hangin' with Tommy Cooper (King Boy Pato), Sunday, 14 February 2010 04:01 (fourteen years ago) link

BTW when I was in Philly, I used to be close to a college that had a Cricket team. So there.
