gay fascist muscle/mass dance music has def. migrated toward jungle and hardcore. Just add backward cap and camo.

Wait, so were Front 242 actually considered fascist once? And if so, by who? (Laibach I was aware of, but not them.) Anyway, these Christgau reviews (which I admittedly don't completely understand, even though I used to edit him) suggest they were:

Probably had to do with the whole uniformity of image/album art thing with them, at least up towards Front by Front...

And these guys were antifascists, right? (Still, I gotta say -- not bad at all for non-Germans!)

I had forgotten how much fun Join In The Chant is. I half expected gay muscle goths to come out of my walls and start doing the Industrial Chicken dance.

Front 242 were a leather boy band for song writer Daniel Bresanutti, Front 242's Vince Clarke.
Jean-Luc was the swarthy singer, Richard 23 the hypeman, and Patrick the Nick Rhodes.
This all changed with the Fuck Up Evil/Evil Off albums when the leather came off and on came the aerobics sermons (and taking control of songwriting, adding new band members for all of the above etc.). It's too bad the fun with the twin 1993 albums lasted only that long as far as quality went.
