"Superstition"

Lots of good stuff on here. I think I need to hear a few things (e.g., the Little Richard version of "Rip It Up") before I could vote in good conscience.

Tons of good stuff. But I'll give a vote for Sonny & Cher. Don't want them to get shut out.

Everly Brothers for me. Getting harder as the countdown continues.

Cyndi or Searchers or Dylan or Al or Smokey or Beach Boys. Leaning towards Smokey or Cyndi (my favourite song of '84, pretty sure).

A word for "Crusin'," please.
Yeah, this might be the one for me (though Cyndi is really close -- greatest hard rock/synthpop track ever?). I've always loved the story about Springsteen filling out an entire cassette with "Cruisin'" just so he could listen to it over and over again in the car. True or not, it really is exactly that kind of song, you can never get too far lost in the thing.

I'm putting out an APB for President Keyes...Our work is not finished; we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the completion of the Heart of Rock and Soul polls.
