re: gbx's article, a friend took me on vacation with him and his parents. in the car, his dad driving, we were in back seat of the volvo, about 7th grade or so. some book that i was reading had the word "fellatio" in it. i pointed it out to my friend, who got a puzzled look- "what is that?" he said. i silently mimed it and he broke up laughing and immediately _yelled_ "HEY MA! I think the answer to this one is contained in the fact that we use the term "climate change" to describe the warming cycle with which we are directly concerned

My mom can now deal with 'climate change' as a term and agree what's happening - her main objections to doing anything about global warming have to do with 'al gore is making millions here'. I suspect this is not unique.

Have you told her that's a pretty stupid objection when the consequence to keeping millions out of Gore's pockets is a dead Earth?

I thought AMerica was meant to be in favour of the pioneer spirit, entrepreneurship and the american dream; which is more or less how Al Gore and myself intent to make money from Global Warming.
