So this basically sounds like an Edan album, and it's about 1/3 passable and 2/3 "are you serious." Mostly Blueprint & Black Album stuff, a couple American Gangster verses & random remix verses. Of the 20 tracks like 4 are reg rockable.

There should be a rule against anyone ever using Public Service Announcement as an intro ever again. There's an "In My Place" bit with Jay's verse from the Sittin Sideways remix that's real Rick Rubin shit. "Ignorant Shit"/"The Scientist" is kinda slick. Not worth your time otherwise, but you didn't need me to tell you that.

I gotta look at every Coldplay rap tune on a case by case basis, can't generalize with these things.

funniest/stupidest thing I've ever seen. these dudes are the new model. get put on blogs, release a mixtape or two. have a marketable face/style. DON'T come out with an album. probably more profitable than the last one, I'm sure Wale has made a good amount of money in the past year.

my roommate has been telling me to check out the charles hamilton mixtape with the cover that looks like illmatic but i haven't gotten around to it. dude sounds alright i guess

btw BoB has an EP on itunes most of which is good also he only has one prominent mixtape which i linked to in the thread i started about him

Charles Hamilton's signed to Interscope, Wale's signed to Interscope, Asher Roth's signed to SRC/Universal, plus obv. the more mainstream guys on that cover (Ace Hood, B.O.B., Cory Gunz) have deals too.

I still think that dude is kind of good or at least well above most of the other Rappers from Florida whose first, biggest and/or only hit featured T-Pain but yeah, that album can't really be worth hearing, can it.

im holding out hope that "cash flow" would rise on the hot 100 so ace could get something close to the beats/guests on the first ross album since he's pretty entrenched in the khaled camp cuz i think that would turn out to be a pretty listenable album
