I thought so too, but "Death of Samantha," adapting studio-rock conventions, is so chilling. And how awesome that she snuck "Give Me Something" onto a #1 album.

I can't deny the loud stuff, but "Even When You're Far Away" still tears me up to this day.

As I discovered while making sound collages on cassette many years ago, "Give Me Something" sounds great with strings of Spike Jones sound effects interspersed throughout.

I remember buying a cut-out copy of this for a buck or two sometime in the 90s. I just wasn't ready for it yet, and promptly threw it out. I should probably go back and reassess it one day, but for now I'll give the title cut a vote.
