What in God’s name do you people hear in this generic shitmusic? Just the blandest pop music I’ve heard in quite some time with high school poetry lyrics. "transgender dysphoria blues" came out in jan 2014

laura jane grace was already out by oct 2013, though, right? was against me! that well-known a band in '13, or was "new wave" being on this list more of a "oh wow we should really give this stuff another listen" thing?

New Wave was Spin's #1 album of 2007, fwiw

good to know. i was kind of out of it for most of the '00s and didn't really know what was going on. took a gap(dy) decade.
