Vedder looks like Russell Crowe. It works for him.

Also I thought the "I will keel you" sketch was a little bit great, but it didn't seem to play to the audience too well. Shame.

I can't imagine many people have seen Vicky Christina Barcelona to get the joke. But I was lol'ing. Tbh, SNL has been making me a lol a bit lately.

Will the mostly v v young audience know this Twilight Zone episode? Or any TZ episode?
― kenan, Sunday, 14 March 2010 05:25 (fourteen years ago) link
LOL @ the juggalo commercial.
Where is everybody tonight?
― kenan, Sunday, 14 March 2010 05:39 (fourteen years ago) link
This is a killer James Spader impression.
― kenan, Sunday, 14 March 2010 05:48 (fourteen years ago) link

Law is a very good host. The material is a little weak though. I love Kristen Wiig but I am tired of all of her repeated characters.

I think it works even if you've not seen VCB: the joke is that suave European men are impossible for American women to resist. But still I was astounded they were doing a VCB parody.
― jam master (jaymc), Sunday, 14 March 2010 15:52 (fourteen years ago) link
even if you dont get the VCB reference, there is still a typically boring SNL sketch for you to enjoy
― fuckin' (jeff), Sunday, 14 March 2010 18:19 (fourteen years ago) link
seen that stupid commercial too many times but... "mark fuhrman from the o.j. trial!" still cracks me up
― dylannn, Sunday, 14 March 2010 18:29 (fourteen years ago) link
Tina Fey and... Justin Bieber on tonight. There's some synergy for you! I guess I'm enough of a Fey mark to actually watch.

Are You Smarter Than a Half-Term Governor?

this was the first time I actually heard him sing and I don't understand how he has a career of any sort
― iatee, Sunday, 11 April 2010 04:06 (fourteen years ago) link
no trolling, this is a good performance
― J0rdan S., Sunday, 11 April 2010 04:08 (fourteen years ago) link
he can't really sing at all but it's kind of a great song & that's a good arrangement
― J0rdan S., Sunday, 11 April 2010 04:09 (fourteen years ago) link
I'll forgive Canada for Celine Dion if they agree to take back Justin Bieber.

the music is p good & he's a good performer for a 14 year old -- i like that he's an overeager & un-self aware ham

I was a bit slow to warm to Nasim, but I think she's been killing it lately. Really enjoyed her in the high school sketch.

Not mentioned at the time, but Jason Sudekis as "The Devil" should totally become a recurring character on Weekend Update, or maybe in sketches of his own.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 11 April 2010 05:10 (fourteen years ago) link
Something about the hooker sketch reminded me of 70's SNL.

this wd be like Phyllis Diller and Leif Garrett on '70s SNL

Only similarity between Phyllis Diller and Tina Fey is ovaries. They're both funny.
