Pelosi is well-loved in SF, and deservedly so. Because she is awesome.

if i had to guess id say that dislike of pelosi is overstated but it mostly comes down to her being seen as a partisan figure, her being a strong progressive woman, and her generally being sort of robotically on-message when she makes public statements, which is a good thing for a speaker of the house but its not folksy enough to impress americans

she isn't a good speaker, but you can feel how tough/determined she is when she speaks. i'm not sure if that endears people to, or repels people from, pelosi.
