Does anyone know of a good mp3 to wav batch conversion program, so I can convert all my loops in mp3 format into wave so Reaktor can see them? I've tried googling and all that, but a) all the results want me to buy something and b) they're probably all full of spyware.
Alternatively, I don't suppose anyone here uses Reaktor and knows if it does infact support mp3 files? That'd be ideal.

The Reaktor question still stands though, as this would be brilliant.

So, my new computer came with Windows 10, and so far the only software casualty is my dear, beloved old copy of CoolEdit 96, which does load in Win10, but is just glitchy AF - doesn't think I have enough RAM to save "Undo," and yet sometimes undoes OLD actions after I've done something else to the files... etc. So, I guess it's time I looked around for something else, ideally as similar as possible to the CE96 interface/tool as possible. MAINLY I use it for trimming down loops to just-so, and some occasional normalizing and basic effects. Is there anything out there with anything of that old-school, bells-and-whistles-free software style?

you might be able to run cooledit96 under a virtual machine with an older version of windows. I think virtualbox is free?

Wavosaur is pretty basic but still supports VST effects.

Thanks, y'all. Just downloaded Wavosaur and feeling good about it, seems super low-impact. Doesn't even install anything! My kind of software.
