Game went hard on "911 is a Joke"

PoMXII, Thursday, 1 May 2008 01:50 (fifteen years ago) link

I just went through about 100 emails, and listened to about 60 CD's I attend a lot of conferences throughout the year so I get a lot of material, and a lot of email. You know what else I get a lot of? Dumb ass statements like this…." Yo I'm -----This my hit single I'm gonna change the game, or "Yo I'm the truth I'm what the game is missing! " I'm hot in the streets", I sold x amount of units already.

Man! Shut the F*ck up already, if you really was hot in the streets, or was selling units you wouldn't have to introduce yourself. I and every other person would already know who you are. Artists act like we in the club, and that's they pick up line. Like we automatically suppose to believe you first off, and second off just, because the kids in ya crew, and ya girls crew got you all on their top 8 on MySpace does not justify you being hot. Lines like the ones above will get you deleted real fast from my email.

If you have to tell me your hot, you probably not. I support the up & coming artist so I'm always going to listen to your stuff, but if 20 people come to me at a conference and say "I'm the next one", then; I can see you all fit the same mold, and you not really grinding to get your buzz up, you begging for a buzz. If you want to promote yourself, and let people know you are hot; Put together a press kit, do a press release for the single, take an ad out with a magazine..Invest in your product instead of shoving me a mixtape with Sucka MC written on it with a sharpie. If you can't spend money on yourself; why the hell would anybody else? Stop stepping to djs like you already on. Humble yourself, network, and build a relationship. Find out who works at what magazines, and websites, do e-blasts. I know what you thinking "I don't have that type of bread" No Duh if you did you would be on already making corny ass music with Young berg, and Ray J. That's a different story. Where was I?

Oh Money, I know everybody want money for something. No one sees the big picture. Well my man Donny Goines is doing big things with no money, I see upcoming cats building a buzz everyday just networking and putting in a little work. If you stop frontin trying to get in the Source, and XXL, and support these upcoming magazines you might get your buzz up. Jump on these other hot websites like www.Wordofsouth.com, or www.yoraps.com That's SUPPORT once again. Then you can finally stop feeding people the lies of how hot you think you are.

They'll already see it.

Well gotta get back to playing Frisbee with your cds…

It was an ordinary day at the Wu-Tang mansion. Ghostface and Raekwon tossed around a football in the backyard while Ol' Dirty Bastard, RZA, and the rest of the gang watched the game inside. What nobody expected was the knock at the door that would forever change their lives. Much to their surprise, a tiny but majestic baby with a mysterious pendant was on their doorstep and with nowhere else to go and no sign of who the baby belonged to, the Wu-Tang Clan had no choice but to adopt the tot and nickname him the Wu-Tang Baby. Little did they know, this baby was much sought after by an eldritch wizard living in the sewers for his pendant, and when the baby was kidnapped by the Cheese Panda XD, a henchman of the wizard, the Wu-Tang Clan was tasked with finding the wizard's lair in the sewers and rescuing the kidnapped baby from his evil clutches in...

Heh, no Matt: i meant "hip hop just saved my life or whatever" sounded like an emo rap title.
I've been very slow to lupe myself but the new album is about half and half enjoyable. Superstar is still kinda lame tho'.

dunno much about dude but this new bohagon single is sick http://www.zshare.net/audio/1167529948e240f9/

kinda jacks young dro's flow i think but the chorus is a total anthem and the beat's deceptively layered and great

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 7 May 2008 22:56 (fifteen years ago) link

had a verse on the last crime mob album maybe?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 7 May 2008 22:58 (fifteen years ago) link

chorus is fantastic even tho it's just recycled duffle bag/poppin rubberbands bs

also he's gotta be nodding at dudes with these verses. the first verse is a total jack of dro's flow and third is completely shawty lo

the song w/ Bohagon from Crunk Juice = hood classic, I fuck with anything he does just because of it even though it usually sounds just like that verse.

New Busta is solid, even if the hook is a little uninspiring.
Dudes been on the front of the scene for over seventeen years; it's kinda ridiculous.

this song is w/e. i'm okay with basically every akon hook ever. the saddest part of the song is that it's very apparent that trick daddy is no longer a better rapper than even fucking plies

why u dumb ass niccas even talkin bout this shit, i dont know any real people who are excited about bun fuckin b anymore, this shit is for bloggers only. this is like when jay-z was comin to the town and kmel and even kblx, all them mfers were pumpin jay z ads and mjb songs and talkin bout him and beyonce for like 3 weeks. yet i never met any real life jay z fans, except HELLA DUM white tourists from philly or some fuckin ny suburb, i dont care enough to even know one ta name. i never heard any jayz bumpin down mlk, i never heard of anyone likin the ‘i choose you’ song cept clear channel. i aint even listen to this song tho. i hope t-waynekon aint gunna make carter turnt sanga cause thats what it seems

tray, get you a blog. you already tryna blog on nozs shit. im not being mean neither. im sayin, i would read that shit.

seriously? where da gs at? are you foreel kid?
grind and spit hot verses? what the fuck. man. i dont respect a rapper cause they ‘grind’ unless its because they are MAD CREATIVE and have lots of angles to work with a variety of other artists. which bun aint. ‘hot verses’ belong on sucka free countdown, i could write them shits all day looooooooooong kid, that shit writes itself.

and for the record, people SERIOUSLY LOVE wayne.

oh and here is an obligatory ugk concession, yeah, that first album was good. or maybe it was the second one. the one that was not ridiculous.

why come 8ball and mjg are not ugk to mtv
