New Mix: AFTRGLW ---> goes from cumbia to gtrs to a bunch of other stuff, including an upcoming (possibly) release for a very famous trio of letters. Recorded it after listening to the Optimo stream and having a few beers left over.

had never heard this before (or about 40% of that list tbh). was wacky.

I posted my new mixes at The Annual Spring Mix. There isn't any techno; just a bunch of songs that were mixed together because I liked the way the flowed together - and some of the songs are favorites of mine. Worth checking out imo

listening now! and it's great! from my perspective, nice and funny to hear many of the same tracks chosen but being played in a different order. His ableton skills I think allows him to do some nice stuff to be keep it more beatcentric, while I kinda used several noise/ambient interludes to jump around between traktor and vinyl/cds.

Thanks for the heads up

What's the learning curve like on Ableton?

Soundcloud allows you to download (for a while). Mixcloud doesn't.

Mexico, camp, horns, Zappa, Mr. Bungle (Matos W.K.), Friday, 14 May 2010 22:00 (thirteen years ago) link

mixcloud supposedly pays (or will try to) royalties to artits used in the uploads, hence mandatory tracklisting with strict artist | track title form. (sayz here: http://www.mixcloud.com/faq/#link12)

After much procrastination - this was initially supposed to be a beginning of spring mix :( - a selection of 115-120BPM colourful tracks, with a bit of 128-130BPM rhythmic assault tacked on for good measure.
Initially conceived as 2 45 minute mixes to dub onto a cassette (hence the cassette template cover and ugh, I'm already regretting giving it such a stupid name/spelling), now with much of the second part cut out, behold:

I've produced what may very well be among the best mixes I've made, in my opinion, good enough, it goes, to actually commit to cassette tapes and keep/give as gifts.

Nevertheless I'll post here the two 45 minute mixes that make up the two sides of the cassette, blended into one.
