Dropped Sarah and her mom off at the el station. Drove to video store. Went to convenience store, bought frozen pizza and beer. Went to another convenience store, bought cat food. Came home. Drank beer, cooked pizza, watched Attack on Precinct 13, ate pizza. Wandered around apartment. Played video games. Watched a little bit of crappy tv. Got online.

quitting chemicals is proving much duller than i expected. i think i might borrow some of the roommate's tequila and watch a bridge too far or something really lame like that.

i would've gone to the cons'tines show (why are we google proofing their name¿) had i been able to talk someone into going avec moi.

dyson (dyson), Sunday, 30 May 2004 03:33 (nineteen years ago) link

Jon made me leave the show before the almighty Vincebus Eruptum played. Bummer.

Ian Johnson (orion), Sunday, 30 May 2004 04:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Played Halo most of the evening, then went to my rehearsal studio w/girlfriend because she wanted me to take many pictures of her. Saturday night ended up being less boring than I expected, actually.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 30 May 2004 04:51 (nineteen years ago) link

were they sexxxy pictures?

Ian Johnson (orion), Sunday, 30 May 2004 04:54 (nineteen years ago) link

All kinds of pictures - sexy, sexxy, AND sexxxy.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 30 May 2004 04:58 (nineteen years ago) link

all three kinds! hurray!

Ian Johnson (orion), Sunday, 30 May 2004 05:03 (nineteen years ago) link

Watched Courtney Love on Howard Stern Show. Laughed heartily. Wasted tons of time on Smiths vs Beatles thread. Will waste more.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 30 May 2004 05:14 (nineteen years ago) link

Worked on websites. Read interview book with John and Yoko. Ended up seeing "The Day After Tomorrow" with my dad, cos on Monday I'm moving out again and probably won't see him for months.

The movie was alright, really just a big special effects show wrapped in a cliched environmental message. Parts of it were fun tho. Now im smoking cigarettes and listening to T-Rex on vinyl and wondering why no-one has called or emailed me all weekend. I guess now all i have to do is wait to go to work tomorrow.

Oh i wasted a lot of time on Smiths vs. Beatles too (and it definitely felt like a waste even at the time, tho it was fun!!).

One of The Frogs described me as "James Dean at the halfway house" then went on to say "If you want another idea, stand next to this guy". Am currently drunk. My night has not = boring, thank you very much.

I watched Zoolander again, and then the episode of Friends with Brad Pitt came on, after that I went to bed. So, not really a bad Saturday Night, don't get confused I'm no big Brad Pitt fan, that episode is just kinda funny. And Zoolander is one of the best films ever made.

i had lobster and too much sancerre with my parents, then i slipped on 10th street and spilled iced espresso on a chihuahua. i drank sparks on the subway and saw white magic play an excellent show at my friend's loft party. my current favorite glaswegian said he'd have my babies, which is nice though obviously a physical impossibilty. i gave him my other can of sparks in appreciation of the sentiment. after the bands i went see my friend play records at (unbeknownst to me) the reverend horton heat afterparty. !!?!?!. i was made to drink lots of jagermeister, and my friend's girlfriend kept jumping on top of the bar to dance. i didn't join her, although my best friend and i did a beautiful dip-and-twirl routine to "baby, i love you." it was bluish reddish sunny when i left, and the police had just pulled up to raid the bar for being open past five. guess what? i'm still slightly tipsy.

Lauren's post is great but it kinda makes me sad coz I miss the stuff she mentions now that I rarely do that kinda stuff, 'cept that I am drunk now and kinda nostalgic.

beer, Used Cars, mediocre pop punk band, Tonto's Demise (some mixed drink), good garage band a little too focused on the word "rock," danced with some girls to Billy Idol and Quiet Riot (haha the pre-programmed bar "rock" station was as good if not better than usual hipster DJ who is sometimes me), pizza, ecstatically buying the new SPIN at 3am cuz I just found out the YYYs were on the cover, went home and fell asleep to Fever To Tell

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 30 May 2004 22:34 (nineteen years ago) link

Majorly mondo tired from being at thanksgiving service for my friends' late grandmother all day, went to my dad's to watch satellite TV and continue to die from my flu. Watched The Mummy Returns with my little cousins, went home, took more medication, watched the first Mummy on terrestrial TV (whoa, spookular), watched parts of Night of The Living Dead on a very bad signal, mentally reassessed my summer plans, thought about the interview I have on Tuesday, fell asleep uncomfortably, wishing I could drink (accursed antibiotics).

Read ILM, listened to music, talked to a friend of mine on AIM about what we should call our band, slept. Pretty boring.

My mom had knee replacement surgery, so i picked her up from the hospital and brought her home (to her house). I stayed over, and did stare longingly at her bottles of Oxycontin and other good pain killers, but decided that stealing drugs from my mother was pushing it. Drank Nyquil instead. Slept. My mom is doing well...

aimurchie, Monday, 31 May 2004 00:28 (nineteen years ago) link

Oh, I steal drugs from my mom all the time.

My Boring Sunday Night: Napping until 9:30, drinking beer, listening to music, probably end up playing street fighter II.

I'm staying in, watching the zombie movie Junk with my very cranky girlfriend and drinking Bell's beer.

Ohhhh to be drunk. Am icing the side of my face which is swollen from toothache and drinking glass upon glass of iced tea. Jody, are you drinking alone? If you drink at your house and I at mine, does that count as having company?

This will be a very low-key evening thanks to THE HORRIBLE ILLNESS that has sucked away three days of my life so far, bleah. Thankfully the fever went away, but you really don't want my headache and stomach pains, yech. So no BBQ with friends for me, it's all about chilling and probably starting to write a draft for Marooned, aka ILX: The Book.

Soldering some stuff.

I'd kind of like to know what you were soldering, as that would have been my boring Saturday night if I hadn't had a shedload of other commitments.

You are swimming in spaghetti. Without a paddle. (snoball), Sunday, 8 February 2015 13:02 (nine years ago) link

I resoldered the volume pot on my wife's horrible Dual car CD player. And I did the resistors and caps for the Objective 2 headphone amp I am putting together as a gift for my brother.

I thought I was terrible at soldering, but now I have a temperature controlled hakko, and it is my favorite boring Saturday night activity.
