Certainly not.

Why? We could execute a Carry On ILXing caper, and evade detection (narrowly) every time he thinks he spots one of us. You could wear clam-pickers and moccasins?

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 17 October 2004 18:38 (nineteen years ago) link

I'm in italy, just now.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 October 2004 18:42 (nineteen years ago) link

*hides behind bush*

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 17 October 2004 18:49 (nineteen years ago) link

go to the insecure or thoughtful trimming thread, please. on second thoughts: don't.

so, now, I'm in china.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 October 2004 18:57 (nineteen years ago) link

And to think I was worried about Dan Perry finding that post....

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 17 October 2004 19:02 (nineteen years ago) link

:***(

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 October 2004 19:03 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes, follow me. But don't touch my hem.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:34 (nineteen years ago) link

A Room For Romeo Brass is on TV, and I started watching it, with hot chocolate and a cat. I was enjoying it, though it seemed surprisingly rough-edged, but I couldn't stay the distance. I need a TV in my room, all cosy like.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:42 (nineteen years ago) link

Is this supposed to have something to do with anything?

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:43 (nineteen years ago) link

Oh, I see. You live in Glasgow.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:43 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes, I need a portable TV, in my room, in Glasgow.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:45 (nineteen years ago) link

It would have to have a special stand, because my bed is far from things. Maybe it is impractical.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:49 (nineteen years ago) link

what colour?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:53 (nineteen years ago) link

White, if poss.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:53 (nineteen years ago) link

I meant "what, colour?"

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 October 2004 22:56 (nineteen years ago) link

I answered you already.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 17 October 2004 23:05 (nineteen years ago) link

don't make me talk about white, again.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 October 2004 23:06 (nineteen years ago) link

There was a film once, by that Canadian, about a man who sat and watched white noise on television, and told everyone it was heaven.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 17 October 2004 23:08 (nineteen years ago) link

jandek?!

I have cause to be in glasgow soon. when my dates are arranged, maybe we could have drinks.

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 18 October 2004 14:33 (nineteen years ago) link

'a room for romeo brass' is fantastic, nick. it's a shame you didn't last.

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 18 October 2004 14:35 (nineteen years ago) link

I saw Shell today, in the West End. She was wearing blue stilettoes and getting a lot of attention from passers-by.

Cathy (Cathy), Monday, 18 October 2004 14:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Just blue stilettos?

Not surprising, the attention, then.

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 18 October 2004 15:28 (nineteen years ago) link

Is she Jandek?

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 18 October 2004 15:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Who's Jandek?

Cathy (Cathy), Monday, 18 October 2004 15:38 (nineteen years ago) link

WTF!!!?

jed_ (jed), Monday, 18 October 2004 15:41 (nineteen years ago) link

She's let herself go.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 18 October 2004 15:52 (nineteen years ago) link

It had to happen.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 18 October 2004 15:57 (nineteen years ago) link

it's unbelievable that this should happen.

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 18 October 2004 17:48 (nineteen years ago) link

I am in glasgow on friday.

cºzen (Cozen), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 19:27 (nineteen years ago) link

You mean Shell off the TV? I don't like her.

What is Optimo Aberdeen? Did I ever know, and if so, who made me forget?

Like Mooro, I have visited Aberdeen. It smelled of mortality. It was good. Oh, yes, I have already talked about it.

RJG, your 'colour' post was very good.

RJG, I tried to mail you about your whatever that you wanted mailing, but I fear that you will bounce off me.

the bluefox, Tuesday, 19 October 2004 19:47 (nineteen years ago) link

I liked her at first.

I can't find my umbrella :*(

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 09:29 (nineteen years ago) link

Friday: what is going on?

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:21 (nineteen years ago) link

No: Wednesday, today.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:21 (nineteen years ago) link

You are so difficult. I'm waiting for more Lloyd.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:25 (nineteen years ago) link

Oh! OK. I ought to give it to you, I guess.

The set was probably the same as yours.

It was exciting when all 5 walked on, and played - 'original instruments'. With those, they played 'Rattlesnakes'.

Lloyd said: you're not looking too bad; you got over that difficult mid-30s period; there are many old friends tonight - a couple of them in that song ('2CV'); last time I was here I put my foot in my mouth and regretted it for 7 years; this song's so hard to sing ('Sean Penn Blues'); you've been lovely.

Possible contender for best number: 'My Bag': Neil Clark is the new, old Robert Quine.

Rumours that Morrissey attended have been dismissed.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 20 October 2004 17:02 (nineteen years ago) link

By whom?

Lara (Lara), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 17:31 (nineteen years ago) link

Does anyone else want to go to this 'Through The Wire' thing at the RAF club on Friday? It says it's 'electro/new wave/indie'. Only £2! And there's a picture of cozen on the poster!

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:18 (nineteen years ago) link

I'll go.

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:21 (nineteen years ago) link

Was it cozen that swung it? I know it was for me.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:23 (nineteen years ago) link

Oh! The real cozen is here on Friday, isn't he? This is going to be weird.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:24 (nineteen years ago) link

It was cozen wot swung it.

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:26 (nineteen years ago) link

I would like to see a picture of him, swinging it.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:28 (nineteen years ago) link

A bell or something, not anything else.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:28 (nineteen years ago) link

there is a fake cozen? glasgow has adventures.

I will be here on friday, do you want to see me?

cºzen (Cozen), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:34 (nineteen years ago) link

it's sad funny that 'here' still equates with glasgow.

cºzen (Cozen), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:39 (nineteen years ago) link

I'll see you!

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:41 (nineteen years ago) link

if I am to go to the RAF club on friday, some things will have to happen:

a) someone will have to be gracious & offer me a bed;

b) someone will have to ordain attendance in a suit;

c) someone will have to direct me to this 'RAF club'.

cºzen (Cozen), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:45 (nineteen years ago) link

oh, and before I go: I am free from 5pm on friday.

argue amongst your selves.

cºzen (Cozen), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 18:45 (nineteen years ago) link

b) someone will have to ordain attendance in a suit;

I can take care of that one (ordination runs in the family). And I will wear one (my) here in sympathy.
