actually it would also be the best song I heard to indulge in some wicked kung fu to so yeah you could break limbs to it as well!

i don't mind 'Faint' tbh, or 'Session', or 'Nobody's Listening'

Ummmm...why not reply in the threads wherein the questions are posed?

If there's been anything good to come out of SPIN magazine the past few years, it was their referring to Mike Shinoda as an "endearingly flow-challenged MC". OTM.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 2 January 2004 19:42 (twenty years ago) link

haha, it should've been 'floetically challenged' tho

stevem (blueski), Friday, 2 January 2004 19:44 (twenty years ago) link

Oh yeah so anyway, Linkin Park are terrible. Bad songwriting, annoying guitar sounds, same stupid formula for every fucking song.

And you know what? Nu metal wasn't shitty enough, it needed to be pretentious too!

David Allen (David Allen), Friday, 2 January 2004 20:37 (twenty years ago) link

you're just saying they're pretentious because that one guy wears glasses sometimes. you think everyone who wears glasses is pretentious, don't you?

Hey, remember that time we got confused about why their name is spelled that way? Did we ever get an answer? AND-WHAT-DOES-IT-MEAN?

Ian Johnson (orion), Friday, 2 January 2004 22:05 (twenty years ago) link

Lincoln Park is a park in Chicago, I believe.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Friday, 2 January 2004 22:07 (twenty years ago) link

But why the spelling change? And why name yourself after a park in Chicago? does the park have special connotations?

Ian Johnson (orion), Friday, 2 January 2004 22:09 (twenty years ago) link

Bad speling is hardkore.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Friday, 2 January 2004 22:12 (twenty years ago) link

The theory is that there are more Lincoln Parks than you can count. They chose the name to represent EVERYwhere...so that all could identify with them. The spelling is just a nu-metal shenanigan.

And they suck harder than mere words can encapsulate.

I tried to convert UK ILX to "Faint" in the pub the other day with very limited success.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Friday, 2 January 2004 22:18 (twenty years ago) link

There's also a Lincoln Park in New Jersey, as I bet Fred Solinger would interject WERE HE STILL POSTING.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Friday, 2 January 2004 23:05 (twenty years ago) link

so is it really Cyprus Hill then?

stevem (blueski), Friday, 2 January 2004 23:08 (twenty years ago) link

Well the guy sitting behind the piano in their new video got on my nerves too.
