Are we going to do that thing where every ILX thread turns into an extended discussion of whether or not various girls are hot? My earlier jokes rely on my belief that she's not particularly hotter than thousands of other girls wandering around Manhattan. Whatever. She seems very normal and not particularly deserving of ridicule, pity, congratulation, or anything much at all.

And I'm not even just saying that because she's sure to track the link over and post on here. I'm saying it because I remember the shameful responses to my "electronic newsletter" during that three magical weeks I spent with Miki from Lush.

i can't mock her at all. honestly she sounds sweet and swept up by a life that sounds pretty fucking fun to me (at least the good parts). i'm surprised that she's willing to air it all in public. i wonder if jules knows...

yeah she seems sweet and smart (going to columbia soon, maybe ally'll meet her) and her relationship (regardless of the proper nouns) sound better than 80% of the relationships i've been in (95% of which were better than the alternative) so more power to her.

apart from julians singing, i never got the velvets comparisons. as stated above, i always thought of them as being late 70s/early 80s in sound, and just as much, in production.

Well if she's really "Barely Legal" (ho! ho! ho!) then she's probably a little sharper than most. I don't know about "sweet," unless the whole "trying to be all glammy-adult-drama and sorta failing" thing = cute and adorable.

Ned, I should have specified above that my question about her attractiveness was only skin deep. That's why I asked it, because I thought you were being a bit harsh about the way she looked. I don't think you can honestly say that if she posted a pic to an ILE "so what do you look like thread", and you didn't know who she was, that you wouldn't complement her.
