Let's get back to the subject of the thread. TT needs our help.

What I was trying to get at with my last question was, "Are you masturbating because you feel hot and bothered, or are you masturbating to relieve your anxiety?" (It could be both, of course.) You are going through a serious crisis in which sex is only a tiny part. We've talked about your problems before, have you been working on those?

10 months, and my body hates me for it. but pretty close to ending it.

Yeah, I've been working on things...meds, new therapist, etc, but I'm still miserably lonely, socially isolated and, yes, horny. It's kind of the inevitable end result of being starved for meaningful human interaction my entire life; it's just that now I can't distract myself with music and movies and shit anymore.

I think the horniness may be your body telling you that you need physical contact with humans. Physical contact of any kind, not just sexual. That's my wild guess. Have you told your therapist about this?

Working up the nerve to...for whatever reason it's easier to tell a huge group of complete strangers on the internet than someone I'm supposed to be able to trust in face-to-face conversation.

We're not as threatening to you as someone sitting face to face with you would be. (I'm the same way.) But, telling him or her is urgent and key. S/he can help you more than we can.

also i dunno if u like dancing but sometimes that fulfills the physical human connection need for me in the absence of sex. it can be relatively anonymous but it can also exacerbate frustration of course

The latter. If I cared about being judged at ILX, I'd have self-banned myself years ago.

Pretty much resigned to permanent involuntary celibacy at this point.

That's just it, I'm switching to voluntary celibacy. It somehow seems more noble and transcendent.
