Audion/Smagghe/Weatherall/Carl Craig etc. are ok, but not as good as some of their other mixes/CDs available.
Fabric.08 Radioactive Man and FabricLive.04 Deadly Avenger are good too.

I really like the Weatherall one, and I'm always surprised how little love it get compared to some of the others

"I have a few main labels: Perlon, Playhouse, and a couple owned by friends like Luciano. Perlon and Playhouse are enough: I have so much to do, I have to DJ and produce like hell. It is impossible for me to start a label for example. It's also not necessary. The world of labels will shrink a little bit. The reality is that labels are disappearing, distribution is disappearing, vinyl is getting harder and harder to live with. It's important to give all my energy to Perlon and Playhouse and not somewhere else, I won't go and make an album for another label."

Carl Craig fabric was ok, although I think his Beats in Space mix he did around the same time is far far superior and is one of my favourite mixes of the year.
I couldnt stand the John Peel disc. No flow. No quality in ecclecticism. Honestly listened to it again the other month trying to find a track I liked and maybe found one.

I don't listen to the Akufen disc at all really, though the first track is aces.

There's a maybe three- or four-track section that's pretty awesome though, when it goes from "This is Sick" into "Love Guide" into "What's Your Fantasy" and then into one of the carioca tracks whose name I can't remember.

the irony is that audion is an american artist! so where'd he learn to spin minimal?

Re minimal in America - the We Are Robots crew in NYC put on some pretty good stuff, although not always minimal. They've had Dapayk and Konrad Black (who is Canadian?)

Historically, the Michael Mayer one has always been my favourite but I've been adoring the Aim one recently (I've always liked it but it has made its way off the shelf to regular play).
Might have banged on about this in other threads.
