It is an astonishingly beautiful song, especially in the context of the Fall's customary raucousness.

Agreed- an amazing tune. "Birthday" from The Marshall Suite album is the only other Fall 'love'song I can think of, but in terms of being wistful & sad I think "Edinburgh Man" comes closest.

The effect of the fall version is very different though. What stands out are the modesty of this dreama and how unconvicing it is that the narrator will ever go to spain
