Even if Sex Ed is an old routine, it was the first time he really got to shine
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining about it or anything. Definitely one of the best sketches of the night.

lol that moynihan has to do fake double chin pushback to play jonah hill
― Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 25 October 2010 18:27 (thirteen years ago) link
man that wiig sketch was so, so unfunny
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 October 2010 19:44 (thirteen years ago) link
agreed. both stone and wiig made me cringe in that one. and was there anything to the french skit besides lol france?
― sonderangerbot, Tuesday, 26 October 2010 17:18 (thirteen years ago) link
didn't catch all of the episode, but i have to admit i laughed hard at those BTTF auditions
― Nhex, Sunday, 31 October 2010 18:41 (thirteen years ago) link
Hader's Alan Alda was immaculate. There were some pretty good lols in this ep. Better than recent weeks anyway. Even though there was A LOT of Wiig, she didn't totally ruin everything, even if I did get a sinking feeling everytime I saw her.

Hader's Alan Alda was immaculate.
^ this! It was even better than the one on Running Wilde a couple weeks back.

for some reason not on hulu, hader's alda is pretty amazing
― balls, Monday, 1 November 2010 01:25 (thirteen years ago) link
uh you realize that Lorne basically gave KITH their TV show and made it possible, right?
uh yes, I thought it was clear that's what I was talkin about, as McKinney on SNL was as forgettable as anything else that black hole has swallowed up.

yeah i guess i kinda misread your post

disagree, but both were great
the old Star Wars audition skits w/ Kevin Spacey are super classic so the BTTF thing being a throwback to that was great, wish they did that kind of thing more often.
Probably not on hulu due to Huey Lewis music.

They're on there as part of the full episode, just not as clips.
― Tub Girl Time Machine (Phil D.), Monday, 1 November 2010 02:06 (thirteen years ago) link
ah! yeah no way i'm sitting thru a full episode, even w/ hamm. did they ever get around to putting up hader doing pacino checking his bank balance?
― balls, Monday, 1 November 2010 02:29 (thirteen years ago) link
Too much Wiig ruined it for me.
― romoing my damn eyes (Nicole), Monday, 1 November 2010 02:49 (thirteen years ago) link
Alda impersonation was amazing.
― Cunga, Monday, 1 November 2010 06:58 (thirteen years ago) link
scarjo's monologue is so obv written by john mulaney -- has his exact cadence & joke style
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 04:39 (thirteen years ago) link
figured Woody Allen rubbed off on her (in more ways than one, hiyo!)
― Gukbe, Sunday, 14 November 2010 04:40 (thirteen years ago) link
big ups on the vanessa bayer meta
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 04:48 (thirteen years ago) link
oh hey it's another denzel impersonation, cool
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 04:58 (thirteen years ago) link
ScarJo on SNL = 90 minutes of Jersey-voice.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:01 (thirteen years ago) link
i give them a pass on that because the first time they didn't actually write a real sketch for the denzel impression to appear in
that opening bit though, jesus christ
― A B C, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:03 (thirteen years ago) link
Denzel bit probably the best use of Pharoah so far and also by far the funniest thing that's been on tonight.
― Gukbe, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:05 (thirteen years ago) link
scarjo was much funnier in the "unstoppable" thing by far tho
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:08 (thirteen years ago) link
I liked the Denzel at Macy's bit far more than the Unstoppable parody. But I'd be fine not seeing another Denzel bit all season.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:13 (thirteen years ago) link
i don't think kanye really says "fam" all that much...
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:18 (thirteen years ago) link
yeah what was that
― A B C, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:24 (thirteen years ago) link
it's shameful that snl has gone so long without someone who could at least attempt a kanye character though
pretty sure samberg is the only person on this show who reliably makes me larf

I can't remember what the love Kenan/hate Kenan balance is like around here, but I love when he gets a chance to shout with a shortened cadence like he did when would fall on the floor.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:35 (thirteen years ago) link
vietnam? what was that?
i didn't really catch that school kid sketch because i was reading about interrogation techniques but maybe it was funny?
― The Great Jumanji, (La Lechera), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:37 (thirteen years ago) link
Surprised by good Wiig's Paula Deen impression is.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:38 (thirteen years ago) link
is this the first time that wiig has ever done paula deen??? this is pretty great imo
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:39 (thirteen years ago) link
how good xp
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:39 (thirteen years ago) link
yeah, she's got her even down the shoulder action
note: i have watched, i would say, 12 min total of paula deen because i seriously do not want to make her food so no thanks but she has a clearly defined way about her
― The Great Jumanji, (La Lechera), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:41 (thirteen years ago) link
it's actually revolting to watch paula deen's show -- i actually don't know how she's not dead
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:43 (thirteen years ago) link
actually actually actually actually
Ooh, didn't expect them to do "Sprawl II"..nice
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:43 (thirteen years ago) link
when they showed regine in the gold sequined thing i was hoping it meant "sprawl II" -- v dope
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:44 (thirteen years ago) link
what was the first song they played
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:45 (thirteen years ago) link
i have no idea, but i will admit that i covet arcade fire girl's dress/glovelets and am also enjoying her exaggerated dance moves
― The Great Jumanji, (La Lechera), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:45 (thirteen years ago) link
I don't know the names of the songs well enough to tell you.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:46 (thirteen years ago) link
yeah i didn't remember it from the album, whatever it was i liked it a lot more than when i listened to the album
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:46 (thirteen years ago) link
i feel the same way -- heard the album and was like bleh but this flag team shit is getting me more interested
― The Great Jumanji, (La Lechera), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:47 (thirteen years ago) link
well "sprawl II" always sounded like an instant classic to me
― thomas smangalter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:47 (thirteen years ago) link
That was really great when she brought out the ribbons.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:47 (thirteen years ago) link
first song they did was 'we used to wait'
― Gukbe, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:49 (thirteen years ago) link
Sprawl II, City With No Children, and Empty Room are the only ones I can honestly identify by name. I like the album, though, but I haven't bothered to isolate which songs are which for the most part.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 November 2010 05:49 (thirteen years ago) link
man, jenny slate is/was sooo much funnier than vanessa bayer
