I used ableton for mine

My last mix was mixed live on CDJ400s, recorded into Digital Performer, then edited/fixed there where possible/needed. All sloppy mixing completely manmade and intentional.

anyway doesn't really matter if it takes the path more charted or not, often people know and don't know...different things than you thought they would. i know the storm queen and discreet unit tracks off this, haven't got into the john roberts record yet, don't know the others

The John Roberts is super. I'm generally not a stickler for obscurity or whatever, but I thought I was being all clever using that Butch track, only to later found out that it's the 2nd most charted track of all time on RA. Heh.

adamrl - I use a copy of Acid Pro 4 (is now ancient). It's not very good at flashy effects, but just fine for beatmatching, chopping and volume mixing. One day I'll learn somethign like Ableton though.

Soundcloud only allows stuff of a certain length, often rejects copyrighted material and fails if I don't disable my antivirus.

i've seen/heard of a few cases of copyright rejection but wouldn't say that i've noted it as being "often". there's been a lot of talk of soundcloud being "useless" now because of copyright pulls but it seems a bit overstated.
