Is #11 JAMC?

Nag! Nag! Nag!, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 12:17 (fifteen years ago) link

Good call. I was trying to figure that one out (and I thought about doing JAMC myself lol). I can't confirm it, but I would stake absurd amounts of money on your answer being correct.

JAMC yes!! Well done.

anatol_merklich, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 12:31 (fifteen years ago) link

Ah, I think there's a good chance #20 is Stereolab, no?

Nag! Nag! Nag!, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 12:41 (fifteen years ago) link

Huh?

Duane Barry, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 12:44 (fifteen years ago) link

xxpost: Stereolab it is! Well done sir.

Number 9 again, including the missing ones. Have swapped #5 but in all honesty none of the options for 5 much look like the cover.

Beautiful South?

Peter "One Dart" Manley (The stickman from the hilarious 'xkcd' comics), Wednesday, 26 November 2008 16:42 (fifteen years ago) link

No, first album is from 1979 and the last album is from 2001.

Billy Dods, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 16:43 (fifteen years ago) link

gawd this #9 is bugging the FUCK out of me! I soooo know those abstract blobs....

Kevin John Bozelka, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 16:47 (fifteen years ago) link

Or blobby hearts...

Kevin John Bozelka, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 16:48 (fifteen years ago) link

#5 (the garish blobs) of that sequence is from 1984.

Billy Dods, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 16:50 (fifteen years ago) link

I might be thinking of Dylan (1973) for that one:

OMMFG! You're right! How the fuck did you figure that out?!?!??

Bands/artists I was thinking of (before I saw 1979): Mouse on Mars, Saint Etienne, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Cheap Trick, and, um, Supertramp (number four reminded me of ...Famous Last Words...).

Hey, I thought Supertramp too for a second!

27 = Fugazi?

jaymc, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 17:54 (fifteen years ago) link

Fugazi xp

kingkongvsgodzilla, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 17:55 (fifteen years ago) link

: )

kingkongvsgodzilla, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 17:56 (fifteen years ago) link

What's weird is that there's an album cover that looks a lot like the 4th image in the Fugazi set. Something that's not In on the Kill Taker, I mean. This is going to drive me crazy.

jaymc, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 17:59 (fifteen years ago) link

Sorry, been away. kingkongvsgodzilla is right, 9 is the Human League and the horrible blobby one was 1984's Hysteria.
