Spike takes care of an egg for a week to learn what taking care of a real baby would be like. Stephanie gives away her scandalous clothes to Alexa in an attempt to clean up her act. Simon, a model for Dude Jeans, transfers to Degrassi Junior High and both Stephanie and Alexa go after him.

this is dumb, no way could an egg or bag of flour trigger the same emotions that looking after a baby would.

It's not supposed to trigger the emotions, it's just supposed to bring it home to teenagers what a drag it is having to lug something around with them all day.

I think we were supposed to do this in high school, with an egg, but I left it lying around at home and a member of my family cooked it and ate it. So I learned a lesson about my family and canibalism that day which scared me a bit.
