Gooey Dux! I've always wanted to see those things in person. I read about them in a book once... forget which. Think it was a horsey one. Such a girl I am.

one month passes...
Fresh mussels tonight. Jesus, each of those little things is a senso-surround cartography of taste and texture. I put onions, garlic and lots of olive oil in a big pot and start cooking it down. When it all turns clear (but not brown) I throw in the mussels for a couple of minutes. In goes some dry vermouth and I pop the top on to steam them good for a little while. Take em out with a strainer, add some BUTTER and diced tomatoes to the yummy stuff in the pot which I cook down even further before pouring it all over the mussels' lazy open shells. Served with beet and corn salad and a ton of bread to sop up the juices. Cut to: sloppy grins and cigarettes.

While on vacation out east, I made a point of stopping in Digby Nova Scotia for a scallop lunch. It was so fucking good. *note that I rarely use fucking as an adjective to describe my food, so you know that's just how good it was.
