You have seen Ally wiggling his arse though. It's like that. But with (different) music.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:06 (nineteen years ago) link

it sounds like the best thing in the world.

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 27 January 2005 22:00 (nineteen years ago) link

don't dash, between them.

The Pinefox should appear here, to express admiration.

The Morsefox (Mooro), Thursday, 27 January 2005 23:14 (nineteen years ago) link

No dashes.

Sorry, those are big Dots.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 28 January 2005 00:26 (nineteen years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Friday, 28 January 2005 00:30 (nineteen years ago) link

Yeah. At first I thought - BUT SHE WAS OVER THE OTHER SIDE! WHA?! HOW?! HUH?!

Then I realised.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 28 January 2005 00:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Southpaw Bummer.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 28 January 2005 00:36 (nineteen years ago) link

I emboldened those dashes, not that you'd notice.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 28 January 2005 00:37 (nineteen years ago) link

I just flipped it. Someone it's....not as good.

I notice nothing.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 28 January 2005 00:41 (nineteen years ago) link

Cor!

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 28 January 2005 10:56 (nineteen years ago) link

Do Michelle Dotrice (as I shall call them) do angular white-boy funk, as seems to be popular these days? They look very AGGRESSIVE, like a throwback to the days of BOVVER. Do they do slap bass?

That is quite a nice photo, backwards or not.

They said the stabbings were at something called Renfrew, on the radio. I should have paid more attention.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Friday, 28 January 2005 17:30 (nineteen years ago) link

Four of the stabbings were in Paisley, two quite near my work and one on my way home - I saw the police and ambulance in attendance at all three of those on my journey from work to home on Wednesday, except I didn't know that all three incidents were related at that time, or even that they were all stabbings, I just thought the police and ambulances were particularly busy that evening. The last one was in my lovely home town of Renfrew, but I was safely ensconced in a pub in Paisley at the time blissfully unaware that some knife-wielding nutter was rampaging around the area. Got out of the pub at midnight to get a lift home, switched on car radio, husband's all "I can't believe you went out on your own when there's a knife-wielding nutter about".

It's kept everyone in town talking for a few days, and was making everyone a bit wary of blokes. On my way up the road last night, there were no people walking about on their own, and police on every street corner in the town centre.

About half a dozen blokes in the pub last night were daring each other to see who would go out for fags. "It's like Russian Roulette, can you make it round to Newsbox and back without getting stabbed?". The bloke who went got a round of applause when he got back in.

This is what passes for excitement round here. You could all try it, if you are fed up of trying Glasgow.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 28 January 2005 18:20 (nineteen years ago) link

My very first though was: "OMG hope Mr Ailsa is OK!"

SOMEHOW. Not SOMEONE.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 28 January 2005 19:51 (nineteen years ago) link

THOUGHT. I am so DRUNK.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 28 January 2005 20:40 (nineteen years ago) link

blah blah blah

(I can hear you)

RJG (RJG), Friday, 28 January 2005 20:47 (nineteen years ago) link

I saw someone get arrested the other day, just out the back here. I don't think he had stabbed anyone though. It was like one of those COPPERS CATCH PEOPLE programmes on the television. Thank you, Ailsa, that was very good. I must find out if my mate who works in Paisley got chased or anything.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Saturday, 29 January 2005 12:45 (nineteen years ago) link

Fury Murray's, doors 7:30. Whoop!

scotstvo (scotstvo), Saturday, 29 January 2005 14:26 (nineteen years ago) link

Ailsa, I thought of your hubby (not you because they said it was chaps, innit). I have two tickets left - they be yours. They arrived yesterday.

Madchen (Madchen), Sunday, 30 January 2005 09:32 (nineteen years ago) link

Thank you. Shall we go to the pub sometime to exchange money for tickets? In fact, the mister was mithering me about the fact we haven't all gone out for a meal since the time Vicky and Chris were here (I kept your poor organisational skeez out of it - he thinks we're all crap) so we should maybe do that.

Does Glasgow want to go out sometime?

Thankfully Paisley is safe(r) now in time for me to venture unaccompanied to the pub for the Celtic v Kilmarnock game.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 30 January 2005 11:42 (nineteen years ago) link

Glasgow would like to go out. When?

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 30 January 2005 14:43 (nineteen years ago) link

at the end.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 30 January 2005 14:45 (nineteen years ago) link

I would like to sleep with an Indian man. So, ok.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 30 January 2005 17:27 (nineteen years ago) link

Would an Indian's man, do?

Mooro (Mooro), Sunday, 30 January 2005 18:20 (nineteen years ago) link

very nice photos, Ally C. I would excelsior the dash-dot exchange (culminating with The Morsefox's post!) if I were not so lazy.

youn, Sunday, 30 January 2005 18:28 (nineteen years ago) link

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 3 February 2005 15:48 (nineteen years ago) link

No return ticket? Most unwise.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 3 February 2005 15:55 (nineteen years ago) link

i might stay forever!!

but probably not. someone else is handling all of that. i think she's taken the need to get back to london into account. i'm certainly not going back to liverpool.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 3 February 2005 15:57 (nineteen years ago) link

stay forever lauren!

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 3 February 2005 16:42 (nineteen years ago) link

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 3 February 2005 16:45 (nineteen years ago) link

staying in glasgow forever would probably take like 30yrs off my life expectancy. and i mean that in a good way.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 3 February 2005 16:50 (nineteen years ago) link

We will all hate you when you're old. Stay forever.

Glasgow has been tried more for one year today.

Happy Birthday Trying Glasgow More

Onimo (GerryNemo), Saturday, 5 February 2005 14:18 (nineteen years ago) link

Aww. A shame RJG has gone Swiss.

Dot To Dot, in the studio, tonight. It could all go howwibly wong.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 5 February 2005 16:02 (nineteen years ago) link

I met tim finney yesterday. I forgot to say.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 5 February 2005 16:49 (nineteen years ago) link

Tell us about Dot 2 Dot, in the studio, last night.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Sunday, 6 February 2005 09:20 (nineteen years ago) link

I, 2, wish 2 hear about .2.. In the studio.

Moorover, I wish to hear .2., in my ears (2).

Ally, do you have a recording or 2, that you could send 2 me, please?

Mooro (Mooro), Sunday, 6 February 2005 11:38 (nineteen years ago) link

Like Gilbert, we will. Soon.

Dot TO Dot in the studio, last night. 8pm-3.45am. A 'session', no doubt.
What took the most number of takes? Patrick's 15 seconds of harmonica, fading out. 'When do you want it from?' 'About 3.15' had the crowd in raptures. Documentary evidence may be available, some day.

I heard things I had never heard before. Strange. Nice. I like it, pretty much. Two songs. 'Any Day But Tuesday' and 'Upside'.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 6 February 2005 13:34 (nineteen years ago) link

Thsi excites me hugely (not just the bit about Patrick and his harmonica).

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 6 February 2005 19:31 (nineteen years ago) link

That is very late, at night.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Monday, 7 February 2005 09:19 (nineteen years ago) link

It was booked until 6am! I say they is wusses.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:17 (nineteen years ago) link

Although they were not allowed to drink anything.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:17 (nineteen years ago) link

This reminds me of that Natasha Bedingfield song, the one what goes, 'you know, I had some studio time booked, but I just couldn't find the right hook'. Except here it would be, 'but I just couldn't get the mouth organ bit right'.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:40 (nineteen years ago) link

It was the last thing, on the record. Fatigue will be the excuse. Pictures, maybe later.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:49 (nineteen years ago) link

As promised.
