This is before my time so I wouldn't know but would a good comparison for Griffin be pre-surgery Amare? He was talked about the same way, right?

don't think he had the same level of moves

theres a similarity there for sure, young amare seemed like he didnt really need moves, like hed just turn and dunk over anyone in a way that didnt quite make sense, griffin is more overtly spectacular

im sure amares footwork and all the subtle stuff was perfect, but the overall impression was of someone playing a different game than everyone else, dropped 40+ on duncan in back to back playoff games iirc

Lamarcus Aldridge had BG's number last night. Blake kept getting shut down and was trying to force spectacular shit all night long.. He will eventually learn but was like 6/17 from the field..

don't see that - he seems too bland off the court and his brand of dunking seems to be for the sake of the dunk itself, not necessarily using dunks as last nails in the coffins type deals
