if anything my taste in rap is as informed by adapting tim & moonship's ideas to rap music as it is being influenced by ethan & dk (nev mind the influence of serg / noz / etc). i know e likes to make it seem like he invented me or something but thats basically his own self aggrandizing ish

(& s reynolds, and academics like elijah wald, & hugely kelefa, who has probably more directly influenced by approach to rap writing than anyone, but w/e)

i've only heard one, gaine greene, which deej recommended to me and i dig it...very sleazy charm!

he's also a deceptively good rapper...he's so slurry and lazy sounding that it disguises that he's got some really good rhyme patterns and lyrics
