Like around 2003/2004 the granola Talib is that's occasionally endorsed by Jay/Yeezy street-rap dudes moved from that Jurassic 5 "I live/breathe/eat/sleep/shit hip-hop" To this post-Little Brother Stuart Smalley daily affirmations of "we worked so hard and all the critics said we couldn't make it but we were out there hustling and grinding and now... we're here." This album sounds like a total parody of that.

And compounded by the fact that the beats are completely unfunky and muted and like basically more illwave woosh than hip-hop—the same vibe as Big K.R.I.T. or Toomp but without the actual beat to anchor it. I didn't know what else to expect by some crew who samples Beach House.

i can get the rappers criticism, but the beats ??? WTF ????
