That is very late, at night.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Monday, 7 February 2005 09:19 (nineteen years ago) link

It was booked until 6am! I say they is wusses.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:17 (nineteen years ago) link

Although they were not allowed to drink anything.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:17 (nineteen years ago) link

This reminds me of that Natasha Bedingfield song, the one what goes, 'you know, I had some studio time booked, but I just couldn't find the right hook'. Except here it would be, 'but I just couldn't get the mouth organ bit right'.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:40 (nineteen years ago) link

It was the last thing, on the record. Fatigue will be the excuse. Pictures, maybe later.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:49 (nineteen years ago) link

As promised.

Sorry, I suppose those aren't really that exciting. I'm just documenting, here.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:51 (nineteen years ago) link

scotstvo (scotstvo), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:55 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes!

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:56 (nineteen years ago) link

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 7 February 2005 20:18 (nineteen years ago) link

patrick's t-shirt doesn't have an ! and it should.

I have never told him this, to his face.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 7 February 2005 20:23 (nineteen years ago) link

You're missing pancakes, tomorrow, RJG. I hope you're having a nice time anyway.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 20:30 (nineteen years ago) link

We are having pancakes tomorrow too.

I guess I should document that the Renfrew branch of the Try Glasgow More bunch tried Madchen's Sunday lunch more yesterday. It was grebt. Renfrew wants to try some Glasgow more in return. All of you. Give us names and a suitable date. I fancy some mass catering, but only if I can borrow Madchen's ice cream maker (but i can make a mean lemon meringue pie if this is not an option).

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:11 (nineteen years ago) link

I did some recording in there once. Very nice.

scotstvo (scotstvo), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:28 (nineteen years ago) link

how do you make pancakes?

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:39 (nineteen years ago) link

Pancake mix in tesco = 11p a bag. It works (and there are instructions on the pack)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:40 (nineteen years ago) link

Or:

100g of flour, a pinch of salt, 300ml milk, 1 egg.

Put flour and salt in a mixing bowl, make a little hole in the middle, put the egg in and half the milk, mix it until it's smooth, gradually adding in the rest of the milk as you do so. Voila.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:03 (nineteen years ago) link

voila!

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:05 (nineteen years ago) link

Now you are ready, my son. Go pancake.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:06 (nineteen years ago) link

(leave to stand for an hour)

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 10:30 (nineteen years ago) link

I have sunburn.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:15 (nineteen years ago) link

You set fire to a newspaper?

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Nice!

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:26 (nineteen years ago) link

That was awful. RJg you only left us £190. You pig!

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 17:55 (nineteen years ago) link

Only enough for 2 upper case letters :(

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Does anyone think that the famous Glasgow "patter" would flow better on a shiny new thread. Even broadband's having trouble keeping up with this gargantuan beast of a thread...

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:29 (nineteen years ago) link

I think starting a new thread goes against the spirit of this thread.

If you change the Show Messages bit in your Setting to 'Last 50 Answers', it gets less gargantuan.

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:38 (nineteen years ago) link

Also, can we have pancake day again, for RJG (and me)?

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:39 (nineteen years ago) link

Thanks for that. That's much better.

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:40 (nineteen years ago) link

asshoppers have applied.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 21:18 (nineteen years ago) link

Which asshoppers?

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 22:12 (nineteen years ago) link

I tried starting a new thread, but the rest of Glasgow wasn't having any of it, so I ignored them all for a bit but was lured back by the sparkling conversation. The moral: don't try it because you will be outcast.

I think I've already blown it there... At least with m family, by living in Edinburgh.

KeithW (kmw), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 13:46 (nineteen years ago) link

Hey I know that guy below the drummer! He goes out with Stacey who was on my journalism course. I drunkenly chatted to them at the Winchester a while back. The small world of ILX eh?

Oh, and I like the Orange Juice t-shirt.
