my bf is 31 and people think he's 20. i wish i had his young looks! pretty frightened of how i'm going to look by 40, but at least i can say that i look better at 29 than i did at 22. older, yes, but better.

i look better at 29 than i did at 22
So did I. And I look even better now, not because my physical appearance has become more appealing, but because I've learned how to groom and dress myself better, how to get a haircut on a regular basis instead of just whenever, how to stand up straight, how to be polite most of the time, how to make sure my breath is passable, and on and on. I'm not as pretty as I was when I was 22, but I'm a lot more attractive.

^^^ at 22 I was in serious danger of becoming like the protagonist in Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid'. Now, er, I'm not.

in one sense -- given that part of my expression that you can see -- a horrible picture. in another sense -- given that my face is almost entirely covered-up and can't be seen -- maybe the best picture ever taken of me.

it was strange. boston and washington, d.c. were, in one way, colder when we visited there around new years each of the last two years. i think it's a byproduct of the humidity on the east coast.
dry, high-altitude colorado wasn't so immediately miserable. but stand outside for a few minutes, and your bones began to chill.
