the new rza is about half good. On par with Digital Bullet or Diary Of A Prince (or whatever that last one was called. dude is always trying stuff and sometimes he nails it and sometimes he doesn't. The rapping is a little wak this time out, but some of the beats are woozy and gross. And David Banner guest-produced a track for some weird reason.

Regular version of Three 6 Mafia's Last 2 Walk is so fucking cheap that it comes with a URL instead of liner notes. Columbia Records... they bout to find your body

Whiney G. Weingarten, Saturday, 28 June 2008 06:50 (fifteen years ago) link

Paying $10.99 was sweet. But I would still have some fucking album credits instead of an ugly picture of Juicy J in skull glasses.

Whiney G. Weingarten, Saturday, 28 June 2008 06:51 (fifteen years ago) link

had no idea rza was coming out with anything

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but the single 36M have out right now is hot garbage of the most hot garbage order

The Reverend, Saturday, 28 June 2008 17:01 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah "Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)" is now a top 40 hit, but I haven't heard it on the radio once. where are people playing that song, who even likes it? also, it's apparently listed on the CD as a bonus track, the same bizarre practice as the Erykah Badu album did with "Honey." if it's the single and it's on every edition of the album it's NOT A BONUS TRACK, wtf with people not understanding this concept.

some dude, Saturday, 28 June 2008 17:28 (fifteen years ago) link

let's get it

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Monday, 30 June 2008 06:46 (fifteen years ago) link

"Lolli Lolli" sucks, but you can blame America for not properly getting behind the huge, Boredoms-style truimphant brilliance of "I'd Rather," the aborted first single.

Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 30 June 2008 06:48 (fifteen years ago) link

They threw a good single against the wall and it didn't stick, so they released some bullshit that would sell. What do you expect?

Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 30 June 2008 06:49 (fifteen years ago) link

or "doe boy fresh" for that matter

J0rdan S., Monday, 30 June 2008 06:49 (fifteen years ago) link

but "i'd rather" was never going to catch on sadly

J0rdan S., Monday, 30 June 2008 06:51 (fifteen years ago) link

Yeah, "Doe Boy Fresh" isn't even on the fucking album. What the fuck. I hate the fucking music industry more every day.

Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 30 June 2008 06:54 (fifteen years ago) link

OH THIS WASN'T AN ENORMOUS MEGAHIT, JUST AN OK REGIONAL THING THAT A FEW PEOPLE FELT PASSIONATELY ABOUT AND WILL ULTIMATELY MAKE A BETTER ALBUM. BETTER PULL IT TO MAKE ROOM FOR TWO VERSIONS OF THE GOOD CHARLOTTE TRACK.

Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 30 June 2008 07:00 (fifteen years ago) link

Boredoms-style truimphant brilliance...?

some dude, Monday, 30 June 2008 07:14 (fifteen years ago) link
