Not for me, usually. Of course, I just looked up what the difference between "serif" and "sans-serif" is - it's those lines they place at the bottom of certain letters that differentiates between the fonts. Therefore - Times New Roman and Courier are serif fonts; the other fancy fonts the majority of us like are sans-serif.

They're both equally readable, but I find the sans-serif fonts more aesthetically pleasing. Though, if I'm writing a school paper, I ALWAYS go with Courier New. It's the fluffer of the font world. I love it.

The font world has a fluffer????

OH. Not that type of fluffer. Sorry!

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Ah, shit. My Times New Roman tag didn't work, did it? (Or did it?)

David Raposa, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

I am hijacking this thread with my font. I love you all, stay beautiful in beautiful font. BWAHAHAHA.

Ally, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Nice try, Ally.

And, actually, Dan, I MEANT that sort of fluffer. I'm a naughty boy. Tee-hee.

David Raposa, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

How about I do it real subtle like this?

Ally, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

You are all mentalists on crack: New York is what I read y'alls in and y'alls look considerably more dignified and intelligent that way than the words you use and the thoughts you fumble entirely always merit.

"Besides, we all know what happens when men are around primates. They end up wearing roller skates and hats and smoking cigars, or begging for money on the streets. When was the last time you saw a woman organ grinder?"

Make it stop, Lord, make it stop!

Richard Tunnicliffe, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

That color scheme would've worked real well a month ago, though.

Now I think I know what Interweb folks mean when someone's typing LOUD. Kee-rist.

Wonder if this'll work...

David Raposa, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Bigger, damn it!

David Raposa, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

I SAID BIGGER!!!

David Raposa, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Nah, we want it smaller

Richard Tunnicliffe, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

This will be more annoying in Netscape

bnw, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Will you people stop making a mess of my neat and tidy forum! Or at least tell me how to do silly font-related stuff as well.

DG, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

View the source, DG.

Richard Tunnicliffe, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

It just looks insane to me. Please tell me in plain english, in any font that isn't wing/webdings, before someone tries to be funny.

DG, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Signature font? Can you people get any more geeky?

Ally C, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

That should fix it, I hope.

David Raposa, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

I also like Baskerville Old Face a lot (not gonna try & do any html gunslingin' this time tho', I have learned my lesson).

duane, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

You all should go do a google search on the Holy Bible font. You can find it on Manics sites. That would make this board really super savage if you all load that and I change every thread to Holy Bible.

Ally, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

I am bored, so I think I'll play with this thread a little bit. Orange is a neat color, don'tcha think?

Dan Perry, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

David Raposa, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

AND the bold tags, too.

David Raposa, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Damn, Dan. Enough with the CTRL-V!

David Raposa, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

CTRL-V is the cockfarmer's FRIEND.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Dan Perry, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Oops, that didn't work. I suck.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Dan Perry, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Where will this end up, I wonder?

(PS DG use <font color="color" face="fontname" size="+/-x"> to modify the font)

Dan Perry, Thursday, 2 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link
