Hotspot confirmed for 4.3 (iphone 4 only). Local telco support of this will determine whether I get a 3g or wi-fi ipad.

if this works well ... you'll still be pushing into a pane of glass, but visual indicators of how hard you're pressing might trick you into thinking it has "give".

xp yeah same here - curious about the new cover and whether it would not be somewhat impractical as a stand (do you need to take it off and then put it back on folded up?)

also yeah, v impressed by the new cover design. I wasn't looking forward to toting an ipad in a case that was bigger than the ipad so this is packed with win.

Interesting also that the old ipad is now a clearance item on the US site (i.e. not in the current products section).

Nothing I'm doing is that processor-limited, so... I guess if I buy GarageBand it could change.

It's huge if you're doing dual-core stuff with it (and potentially huge if iOS 5 takes advantage of dual-core for proper multitasking). If you're just writing emails and watching videos, meh xxxp

Again, depends on what you're doing with it. I think we all knew this new ipad would have a camera, even the day the first one was announced.

yeah prob bigger a deal for people who want to use the ipad as their sole computer. I mostly use it for Reeder and Instapaper - the rest I do on my MBP

(aa here) I'll use it mainly (as per upthread) for language study, but there's a load of asual stuff I can do with it as well. Doubt very much I'll bother with the 3G, even if I don't get wireless hotspot on my iphone.
