You can't get it in Byline either. I don't think it ever occurred to me, as I do my management of actual sources in Google Reader itself.

Off the Reeder site:

http://reederapp.com/2/_index/screens/7.png

Tapping that three-line icon at the bottom displays all your feeds, not just new items.

Show me where you can do it in the iPhone app cause I can't see it. The closest I can get to it is to go to Reeder's settings, then under Navigation set it to "Open folders as list of feeds". Then if you go to a folder you can see all the feeds the belong to that folder, but I can't see a way of getting a list of all your feeds at once. I guess you could make a folder that just had everything in it and that would work.

xpost - ah, do you not use folders in Google Reader? Looks like if you don't then everything gets listed in that way.

Alba, Tuesday, 15 March 2011 22:16 (thirteen years ago) link

Ah yeah, I don't use folders.

Emperor Tomato Catsuuuuuuuup (Autumn Almanac), Tuesday, 15 March 2011 22:17 (thirteen years ago) link

This is the way that screen looks on mine:

Alba, Tuesday, 15 March 2011 22:21 (thirteen years ago) link

I think you're borked then.

Another thing Reeder should provide is the ability to edit feeds (sorry if someone has already mentioned this), even if it's only deleting a feed. I really hate having to log into Google every time I want to manage my feeds.

Emperor Tomato Catsuuuuuuuup (Autumn Almanac), Tuesday, 15 March 2011 22:24 (thirteen years ago) link

You can just click "unread" and sort by feed instead of date, is that no what you want?

dan selzer, Tuesday, 15 March 2011 22:47 (thirteen years ago) link

argh I wish there were an easy way to upload iphone screen caps.

Simplest way is to take screenshot, then use dropbox app to add pic to your public folder and grab link from there.

stet, Tuesday, 15 March 2011 23:14 (thirteen years ago) link

Wow, I had no idea that was possible. Thanks ever so.

Emperor Tomato Catsuuuuuuuup (Autumn Almanac), Tuesday, 15 March 2011 23:22 (thirteen years ago) link

Just checked in on Ping for the first time in months to see whether it had improved at all. It hasn't, but I did think that if this thing wasn't purely music based, and also gave me a stream of the apps my contacts were buying and recommending, I'd actually find that hugely useful.

Mine doesn't ship till April.

Jeff, Saturday, 19 March 2011 20:10 (thirteen years ago) link

mine is supposed to ship mid-late April; went 64gb 3g

Euler, Saturday, 19 March 2011 20:14 (thirteen years ago) link

It's due out here on Friday but lol I don't think anyone's expectations are terribly high.

What-Diana-faked-death-living-false-identity-small-town-America (Autumn Almanac), Saturday, 19 March 2011 20:21 (thirteen years ago) link

i want the bottom of the line 16gb wifi. they had that in white in austin, but white droolz and black rulez. i still have chances in minneapolis next week and new york the week after. hoping things will have settled down a bit by new york at least.

caek, Saturday, 19 March 2011 20:21 (thirteen years ago) link

my understanding is that overseas countries have ppl staked out at the new york stores so they can snap up all these ipads and send them back to the motherland

boob oscillator (Schlafsack), Thursday, 24 March 2011 04:12 (thirteen years ago) link

I bought a tablet this week.

But I'll take it over to the Relatively New Wacom Lust Objects thread.

Giving Wacom some credit for some apple-worthy packaging and design.

dan selzer, Thursday, 24 March 2011 04:15 (thirteen years ago) link

Wow, a gis shows some v nice wacom tablets.

btw can't believe I'm planning to get up at 1 am for this sodding itampon thing.

boob oscillator (Schlafsack), Thursday, 24 March 2011 04:21 (thirteen years ago) link

(to be clear: getting up, placing my order online, going back to bed)

boob oscillator (Schlafsack), Thursday, 24 March 2011 04:24 (thirteen years ago) link

I have the medium Intuous 4. It has oled or whatever softkeys where the txt or icon changes depending on how you program it! Also a touch scroll wheel with 4 different options. One of the options is to rotate the canvas. I was like, why would you do that. Then I started working hardcore on the reason I bought the damn thing, where I'm doing some serious "drawing" and wow, now I get it. Amazing. I also got it to help with carpal tunnel. Getting used to using it in photoshop, less so for average daily tasks. Though I do feel like a computer superhero when I click "submit post" with a pen. It's no fairlight, but it's close.

dan selzer, Thursday, 24 March 2011 04:26 (thirteen years ago) link

Fantastic that it assists your carpal tunnel. That's what tech should be doing ffs, not just developing laptops with screens that arbitrary lay flat for lolz.

boob oscillator (Schlafsack), Thursday, 24 March 2011 04:34 (thirteen years ago) link

for.... working in central park and pulling up guest lists info etc on the go. attending meetings and reworking eblasts and documents on the go.

avant garde a clue (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 24 March 2011 13:56 (thirteen years ago) link

eh, I ordered mine on opening day in the USA & the original ship date was the end of April

though it shipped last night so don't take those dates super seriously I guess

Euler, Thursday, 24 March 2011 14:01 (thirteen years ago) link

Case has shipped. Um, okay.

boob oscillator (Schlafsack), Thursday, 24 March 2011 21:49 (thirteen years ago) link

Yeah, I got my case last week. Very useful it has been...

Jeff, Thursday, 24 March 2011 21:52 (thirteen years ago) link

My iPad 2 shipped yesterday, over a week earlier than was initially indicated.

Jeff, Saturday, 26 March 2011 17:52 (thirteen years ago) link

I think I get why people keep saying the ipad is more than just a big iphone now.

breaker moran (Schlafsack), Sunday, 3 April 2011 22:46 (thirteen years ago) link

I've had mine for five days now & it's fab---this os is really neat & the extra real estate enables lots of new things, or at least does so without the eye strain.

Flipbook is really great. It makes my fb & twitter feeds actually worth bothering with.

Euler, Monday, 4 April 2011 01:00 (thirteen years ago) link

It's funny that everyone calls it Flipbook. I kind of prefer Zite now, though they're facing cease and desist letters from publishers.

Alba, Monday, 4 April 2011 20:18 (thirteen years ago) link

Got so sick of being unable to find anything without spotlight that I've just spent 90 mins putting all my iphone and ipad apps into folders sorted alphabetically. In my defence I am sick today and lack the brain power to do anything else.

You Say Various Things (Autumn Almanac), Tuesday, 12 April 2011 23:35 (thirteen years ago) link

The iPhone and iPad have Spotlight, you just have to swipe to the screen to the left of the home screen

mh, Wednesday, 13 April 2011 00:14 (thirteen years ago) link

Wait, maybe it's just the iPhone, I can't remember at the minute.

mh, Wednesday, 13 April 2011 00:14 (thirteen years ago) link

Sorry, that's what I meant, I've been using spotlight because I could never find anything.

You Say Various Things (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 13 April 2011 00:19 (thirteen years ago) link

I use spotlight to find most things that aren't in the multi-task dock. Just easier for me.

Jeff, Wednesday, 13 April 2011 00:25 (thirteen years ago) link

(all my everyday apps are on the home screen, not in folders)

You Say Various Things (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 13 April 2011 00:37 (thirteen years ago) link

Oh you have too many apps, just delete most.

mh, Wednesday, 13 April 2011 01:23 (thirteen years ago) link

why so many?!

shaane, Wednesday, 13 April 2011 01:53 (thirteen years ago) link

I... don't... know

You Say Various Things (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 13 April 2011 01:54 (thirteen years ago) link

Basically I do routine clear-outs and can't bring myself to delete most of them.

You Say Various Things (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 13 April 2011 01:54 (thirteen years ago) link

I admire your fortitude. Too many apps makes my iPod touch a blackhole of focus every time I use it. Too much coffee and not enough sleep contribute, but an organized launch screen can be zen like.

shaane, Wednesday, 13 April 2011 01:59 (thirteen years ago) link

My launch screen has always been in order but it's the whole "aaagh shit where did I put that shopping discounts app" thing that's been doing my head in.
