it's atmosphere's festival so i think they always headline

also that's why doomtree is so high on the bill over curren$y and stuff, they can draw usually like 1500+ for one of their big club shows in mpls

yeah soundset now has a lot more national artists but it started as more of a rhymesayers hometown lovefest

though now that i'm thinking about it, i kinda wonder if atmosphere couldn't outdraw de la and slaughterhouse almost anywhere?

BEATS OUT DRAKE FOR RAP RECORDING OF THE YEAR, RELEASES NEW SONG

Vancouver based MC Shad, whose TSOL album was met with almost universal acclaim in hip hop circles upon its release by Decon/Black Box Recordings last year, unexpectedly beat out fellow countryman Drake for "Rap Recording of the Year" at Saturday's Juno awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. Though the record was a favorite amongst fans and critics alike, most considered Drake a shoo-in after taking the award home last year.
