It's worth mentioning every couple hundred posts that there's a YouTube embedded somewhere in this thread of Gucci Mane punching a woman in the face during a live performance a couple years ago - he didn't suddenly drop off the rails and start acting like a dick.

The slow decline of his raps probably owes more to the fact that the guy has released more material in the last couple of years than most rappers do in their entire careers - I think people just start to run out of shit to talk about or get tired of doing the same thing over and over, no?

yeah i mean no one here is saying dude was a cub scout before the drugs or something (altho its entirely possible he was into that when the other vid was shot too) just that hes only recently gone off the rails

what was amazing abt a lot of his stuff was he'd seemed, better than most rappers, to have figured out how to balance productivity & creative energy, it seems odd he would fall off so suddenly if that was the problem, cuz its not like he's repeating himself, hes just lost direction
