they're two different techniques - cinemagraphs are animating one part of a still photograph where iwdrm captures those loopable moments from films. both are grebt, this thread is the best, and that spinning arm mandala up there O_O

I dunno, the iwdrm gifs often have one tiny part of the frame moving with everything else being static in a way it wouldn't have appeared in the film.

yeah i dont think there's anything different from what iwdrm and these other people are doing besides one is using dvds of feature movies and the other is going out in the world with their dslr
also how do you "animate one part of a still photograph" and have it come out like this?
