Oh, what excellent timing (assuming anyone both sees this and is at all interested in buying my stuff). I'm super broke and trying desperately to get rid of stuff, but the goings are s-l-o-o-o-o-w-w-w on eBay. Anyway: here it is. I'm mostly selling comics (Marvel & DC stuff from the past 5-10 years, mainly), with lots more to be listed soon. Contact me here on eBay if there's anything in particular you're looking for or if you wanna see a list of what I'm trying to sell.

I'd like to start back up the jewelry business I had about 15 years ago, because it looks like I'm going to have to have several different revenue streams going for a while. Any tips for pricing, etc, on Etsy?

Aw but that's so sweet

My mom hasn't bought shit from me. In fact, I've made her like 4 things for free. hmph.

Oh that's really pretty stuff. Also, yay paper jewelry. I think I'm gonna grab a pair of her earrings later. :)

Thank you, I'll pass on the compliment! She works at an impossibly small scale, especially on the lucky stars. When she was 10 or so, she made me polymer clay figurines of Milk and Cheese (the Evan Dorkin comics characters) that were about 1/2" tall.

That would be so great - I sold one already even (not to a 20-something though)! I think I might leave one at the skate park by my bus transit center and see if I can start a trend.

jaq i love the ombre stripe jacket but beeps would kill for a 5T version of the rainbow stripe jacket. she obsessed with rainbows. we were looking at a pure black cat to adopt on the weekend. her name for it 'Rainbow', of course

When's her birthday, Sunny? I'm not sure that pattern will upsize much more than a 36 months gracefully - the sleeves get more and more out of proportion and the neck closes down tighter - but I've got a new wrap-fronted one I'm working on. Also, found a pattern for an adorable helmet-hat, sort of shaped like a classic aviator, that I'm sorting out.

Jaq, Tuesday, 10 January 2012 14:30 (twelve years ago) link

Her birthday is in march which is problematic in itself since she'll probably go up another size over summer.
