HBO adaptation of Game of Thrones - will this be just for nerds? (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

i guess what bothers me about dorne is less the culture or language stuff and more that there is a DESERT there. the place is 1/3 the size of the entire north and it has three distinct land types, each with its own special kind of dornishmen??

they're densely packed, like sardines or pygmys.

tbh i am sort of "working out" my issues w/ martin w/r/t the fucked up shit that happens in book 3. still kind of mad at him.

I re-read all four in like a week recently. Shit is addictive.

I could see if that if you don't work or do something where you can read on the job but otherwise that just seems nuts. I might just be a slower reader though. idk.

I'm still noodling through bk 2...I'm not always in the mood to read all the time but I try to read at lunchtimes & bed, afternoon on the weekend. sometimed I'll go full tilt & do a book in a day or 2, but slower pace is my norm lately
