can you tell the gun sounds thread
that the new Kool G Rap album is top to bottom awesome

gucci mande (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 10 July 2011 15:41 (twelve years ago) link

sounding a little bit like his children (Roc Marci, Cam'ron, etc) with the whole ending-every-line-the-same thing, but totally standing next to em instead of trying to keep up
and the beats are minimal and thwackin and not corny Landspeed shit

gucci mande (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 10 July 2011 15:42 (twelve years ago) link

that riff raff vid is like a lonely island thing

hi goons, I need help identifying a song - heard it on a detroit fm station

verse went something like this

"now I'm in that light spot
oops I meant to say spotlight
something something now it's fight night"

later he says "flow forensic" or "flow so forensic"

googling's not helping

any ideas?

just notice that on the first verse of "ridin' around" by roc marciano he's TOTALLY copping a flow like "livin' proof" by group home

11 years old but didn't know where to bring it up. Anyone else ever get a copy of the HipHop for Respect EP?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8ba1vjkV7U&feature=related

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP7i2I_eiEU

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waEVPMhrwp4

I listened to this thing so much as a kid that my copy is scratched to fuck; didn't think about it until I was looking for something for the no hooks thread. A most underrated EP - psycho les, black star, kool g rap, pharoahe monch, organized noize, de la, coflow, common, rah digga, dead prez etc. all on a protest tip at the top of their game. Way fucking better than Self Destruction.
